Pablo Torre Reacts to Jordon Hudson’s Deleted Post over Bill Belichick Video Report
Pablo Torre, the reporter who Jordon Hudson—Bill Belichick's girlfriend—called out for "incorrect" and "slanderous" reports, responded to a deleted post from Hudson on Sunday.
Hudson responded to Torre earlier this week after he reported on Ring camera videos of Belichick outside of an Airbnb rental in 2023. She said Torre's "findings" were "factually incorrect, slanderous, defamatory and targeted" and attached a screenshot of a text conversation between her and the owner of the Airbnb.
Torre posted on social media Sunday to state that he stands by his reporting.
"I find it bizarrely appropriate, at this point, that Jordon Hudson would post this and then very quickly delete it," he wrote. "But to be perfectly clear: I stand by our reporting and the episodes we published."
The saga between Hudson and Torre is nothing new.
Earlier this month, Torre reported on his podcast, Pablo Torre Finds Out, that Hudson had been banned from North Carolina's football facility. The university refuted that report from Torre.
"While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities," the university said in a statement. "Jordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick’s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.”
After North Carolina denied Torre's claim, he backed his reporting and said the information came "from the highest levels of the football program."
Since Belichick was hired as the Tar Heels' head coach in December, the attention has been more on his personal life than on what he has in store in Chapel Hill. The last few weeks have been especially drama-filled, and an interview on CBS Sunday Morning only added fuel to the fire.
The interview was supposed to be about Belichick's new book, but it quickly gave viewers a bit of an inside look into Belichick and Hudson's relationship. Interviewer Tony Dokoupil said Hudson was a "constant presence" during the interview. She was also seen on camera shutting down a question about how Belichick and Hudson met.
While the attention Belichick and Hudson's relationship has brought to North Carolina's football program likely wouldn't be described as positive, UNC chancellor Lee Roberts doesn't mind it.
"We wanted when we hired Coach Belichick, to bring Carolina football to another level," Roberts said, per WRAL's Brian Murphy. "...We increased the price of our season tickets and we sold them out. ...We're delighted about all the attention being paid to Carolina football."
Belichick is one of the most established coaches in all of sports, though all of the drama should make for an interesting year, both on and off the field. North Carolina fans are just hoping Belichick can turn things around after a 6-7 season.
