PGA Championship 2025 Tee Times, Pairings and Predictions for Sunday Schedule

Joe TanseyMay 17, 2025

The 2025 PGA Championship is Scottie Scheffler's tournament to lose.

Scheffler surged into the lead with a six-under 65 on Saturday that brought him to 11-under for the tournament.

Scheffler carries a three-shot lead over Alex Noren into Sunday, and while there are some significant names chasing him, it feels like the only golfer who can beat Scheffler is himself.

If anyone can catch Scheffler, that player has to potentially record the low round of the tournament, a 64 that was recorded once on Thursday and twice on Friday.

Scottie Scheffler Continues Dominance, Wins Third Major

2 of 3
2025 PGA Championship - Round Three

Scottie Scheffler is 18 holes away from winning his third major and his first non-Masters major.

Scheffler pulled away on Saturday with a six-under 65 that was headlined by a dominant run on the back nine.

The version of Scheffler that showed up on the back nine is unbeatable. He made shots that very few golfers in the field can make.

Scheffler has a three-shot cushion on the rest of the field and a five-shot advantage over the next previous major winner in the field in Jon Rahm.

It would take a poor round of epic proportions from Scheffler to throw away the PGA.

What's more likely to happen on Sunday is for Scheffler to put on a shot-making display and win in style.

Jon Rahm Finishes Second

3 of 3
2025 PGA Championship - Round Three

Jon Rahm has the only major-winning experience among the golfers sitting at six-to-eight-under.

Rahm produced a strong third round on Saturday that featured three birdies on the front nine and four birdies on the back nine.

Rahm's round score took a hit because of three bogeys, but he attacked the course well and set himself up for a strong Sunday.

The two-time major champion can put some pressure on Scheffler from the third-to-last pairing.

An early run of birdies could at least make Scheffler feel some nerves instead of running away with the Wanamaker Trophy.

Even if he can't catch Scheffler, Rahm is poised for another birdie-filled afternoon that can place him in second, especially if he eliminates the bogeys from his scorecard.
