16 Times Athletes' Hips Didn't Lie
Michael Bennett might take the cake when it comes to athletes who can really shake their hips.
Some others might not be quite as naturally gifted, but either way, these 16 athletes went all in on their dance moves. Even when the results weren't good, they sure were hilarious—Frank Kaminsky attempting a moonwalk, anyone?
Good or bad, hips don't lie, as Shakira can tell you. And athletes showing off their moves usually results in quality entertainment either way. Bennett is good, but then again, can anyone on this list prove more fun to watch than Victor Cruz and his salsa dancing? Let's find out.
Lance Stephenson
1 of 16In 2013, Lance Stephenson (then with the Indiana Pacers) put a sick crossover move on Courtney Lee and sunk the subsequent bucket.
However, the real takeaway from the scene wasn't the two points, but the brief yet memorable celebration dance from Stephenson. It was part squat, part hip gyration, and it was exactly the type of thing you'd expect from the guy who blew in LeBron James' ear.
Houston Astros
2 of 16Jonathan Villar and George Springer do not mess around when it comes to dugout dancing. The two Houston Astros put on a choreographed show in June 2014, and it definitely looked like they put some effort into it.
The best part was how several surrounding folks in the dugout didn't seem to think much of it. It could be a common occurrence. One thing is certain from their performance—these guys know how to have fun.
Frank Kaminsky
3 of 16After Duke beat Wisconsin for the March Madness title, Jahlil Okafor and Frank Kaminsky appeared on ESPN's SportsNation together. The segment was pretty funny—mainly because it involved a dance-off.
Okafor may have won on the court, but Kaminsky won the title for most outrageously bad/hilarious dance moves. His hips were a little stiff on that attempted moonwalk, but he sold it with passion in his eyes.

Rob Gronkowski
4 of 16It's no secret Rob Gronkowski likes to dance. He proved as much by going full-Gronk mode on the Los Angeles Clippers dance cam at a March game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Gronk and his brothers were at the game, and if the crowd expected antics, it surely was not disappointed.
James Harden
5 of 16To properly execute the "Carlton Dance," one must display a combination of impeccable timing, hip motion and of course, the right kind of snaps.
Alfonso Ribeiro, aka Carlton from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, tried to teach his signature moves to James Harden in September. To his credit, Harden gave it his best shot, resulting in laughs all around.
Anthony Castonzo
6 of 16Anthony Castonzo took a page out of Lance Stephenson's book with the hip-shaking victory squat. The Indianapolis Colts lineman even did him one better with some hand waving after a touchdown against rival New England Patriots.
As it turns out, Castonzo's moves were actually inspired by a video game. He told Steve Andress of Colts.com, "That was the Dhalsim celebration from Street Fighter II. He's kind of like a left tackle in the sense that he uses his hands to keep guys away from him."
J.J. Watt
7 of 16Is there anything J.J. Watt can't do? OK—he doesn't appear to be the best dancer, but he does continue to prove he's an awesome human.
After a Houston Rockets playoff victory over the Dallas Mavericks, the defensive end broke it down with a nearby fan—and even hugged the national anthem singer before it was all over. Watt proved you don't have to be a great dancer to enjoy shaking those hips.
Michelle Jenneke
8 of 16Behold, Australian hurdler Michelle Jenneke's warm-up routine at the 2012 World Junior Championships. It's hard to tell, but her hips appear to have been saying, "I'm just doing my race warm-up, and man, I'm pretty excited about it."
Justin Rose
9 of 16
It's not often you see golfers wiggling their hips in celebration of a big putt, but for Justin Rose, it just happened.
The golfer sunk a crazy putt on the No. 7 hole at the Masters. At the time, it was kind of a big deal because it put Rose just three shots behind eventual champion Jordan Spieth—definitely worthy of a little indulgent celebration.
Peyton Manning
10 of 16Is there anything better than Peyton Manning unleashing his dance moves to the sweet, southern sounds of "Rocky Top," a Tennessee anthem? The future Hall of Famer's hips definitely didn't lie, and they said, "We can't dance, but we love this song!"
B.J. Raji
11 of 16Green Bay Packers defensive tackle B.J. Raji busted out a hip-tastic touchdown dance in 2011 after a pick-six vs. the Chicago Bears. The TD was particularly sweet because it came against a division rival during the NFC Championship Game, so a memorable celebration was certainly in order.
Raji told reporters at Super Bowl media day his secret was, "Hip movement, hip fluidity. I was just having fun with it, pretty much," according to Ralph Vacchiano of Daily News.
Raji's dance became an Internet sensation—so much so that State Farm even made a commercial about it.
Colombian National Team
12 of 16Soccer has some of the best goal celebrations of any sport, as the Colombian national team proved at the 2014 World Cup. After a James Rodriguez goal against the Ivory Coast, the entire team got in on the action.
Kate Hansen
13 of 16Kate Hansen, U.S. Olympic luger, also happens to have some pretty legitimate dance moves. This is apparently an example of her warm-up routine, with none other than Beyonce gracing her headphones.
Tom Wilhelmsen
14 of 16Football players are not the only ones with insane on-field dance moves. Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Tom Wilhelmsen proved his hips don't lie with this incredible display to DJ Snake and Lil Jon's "Turn Down for What" in September.
Get after it Tom—shake what your mama gave ya.
Michael Bennett
15 of 16Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennett might be more famous for his sack dance than his actual sacks. And his hips are definitely the focus when he does it. The dance really got going during Seattle's Super Bowl season in 2013, when Bennett recorded 8.5 regular-season sacks.
According to Jayson Jenks of The Seattle Times, Bennet once said, "I would describe it as two angels dancing while chocolate is coming from the heavens on a nice Sunday morning."
Victor Cruz
16 of 16What is a salsa if not an exercise in movin' those hips? Victor Cruz knows what I'm talking about. The New York Giants wide receiver salsas after touchdowns to honor his late grandmother, according to Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.
While others on this list are entertaining, none beat the rhythmic stylings of Cruz. In fact, he's getting an induction into the Hips Don't Lie Athlete Hall of Fame.
