The Adidas Gauntlet high school basketball showcase will conclude with a July 8-11 finale in Atlanta, Georgia, where some of the nation's premier talent will attempt to boost their stock with collegiate decisions looming.
"This 32 team invite only tournament will bring together the top eight ranked teams from adidas Gauntlet Dallas and Indianapolis, as well as eight play-in teams," according to Adidasuprising.com. "Teams will be seeded for bracket play based on their Gauntlet win-loss record with a championship game July 11 at North Gwinnett High School outside of Atlanta."
Play is slated to get underway Wednesday for the 17U tournament, and the results of those contests will pave the way for matchups on Thursday. Things will then wrap up Friday evening.

Team Wall
An AAU program based out of North Carolina, Team Wall is funded by Washington Wizards point guard and Adidas frontman John Wall.
"I created Team Wall as a way to give back to the greater North Carolina community," Wall said on March 29, according to USA Today's Jason Jordan. "I realize that basketball will not take everyone to the NBA, but that it will open doors to college opportunities and creating life experiences for many kids."
Headlining Team Wall are a pair of Jalens.
The first is Jalen Harris.
Enrolled at Word of God Christian Academy (Wall's alma mater) in Raleigh, North Carolina, Harris has made his mark during Gauntlet play by dropping 114 points and recording a team-high 43 assists in a team-high 234 minutes.
According to 247Sports.com, Harris is the 38th-ranked point guard in the class of 2016 and has outstanding offers from Abilene Christian University, Charlotte, DePaul, Liberty and Maryland Eastern Shore at the moment.

Then there's Jalen Johnson, a wiry 6'6'' small forward who has flashed touch from all over the floor.
Through 201 minutes, Johnson has already tallied a team-high 125 points while shooting 42.6 percent from the field and 40.4 percent from three.
"We’ve got a lot of talented guys and I feel like this is a place where I can play and contribute," Johnson said, per Jordan. "I feel like we’ll all push each other. Coach Kendrick was saying that John wanted a team that can really get up and down fast and that’s the way I like to play. I feel like, if we’re able to do that consistently, we can win the Gauntlet."
Like Harris, Johnson isn't one of the nation's most coveted recruits. However, his 3-star status has helped Johnson garner offers from Old Dominion, Wake Forest and Texas Tech, among others.
New Orleans Elite
New Orleans Elite will look to get rolling against Basketball University on Wednesday and to do so, it will lean on 6'0'' point guard Lamar Peters to carry the load.
With 91 points and 23 assists to his name in Gauntlet play, Peters has established himself as the center of all things offense for New Orleans.

The Mississippi State commit and 16th-ranked point guard in the 2016 class started strutting his stuff during play back in April.
"Peter is a wiry lead guard that plays with a competitive fire," Scout.com's Evan Daniels and Josh Gershon wrote. "He was active on both ends and certainly has potential as a defender. On offense, Peters showed his quickness, consistently got into the paint and proved to be a good passer."
Peters will re-enter Gauntlet competition flanked by shooting guard Malik Crowfield, who is being pursued by Mississippi State, as well, according to 247Sports.
A volume scorer who's already attempted 58 threes and knocked them down at a 37.9 percent clip during Gauntlet play, Crowfield could wreak havoc via Peters' precise dishes.
