Tiger Woods Celebrated By Fans in Final Jupiter Links Match of Inaugural TGL Season
Atlanta Drive Golf is heading to the inaugural TGL playoffs with plenty of momentum.
Atlanta defeated Tiger Woods and Jupiter Links Golf Club 9-1 in the regular-season finale of the league's first year on Tuesday. Billy Horschel, Lucas Glover and Nick Dunlap teamed up to outlast Woods, Tom Kim and Max Homa in a match that featured a laid-back atmosphere without many stakes.

Controversial Usyk TKO Win 🤔
After all, Jupiter had already been eliminated from the playoff field, while Atlanta had already clinched a spot. The Drive will be the No. 3 seed, while the Los Angeles Golf Club will be No. 1, The Bay will be No. 2 and New York Golf Club will be No. 4.
The lack of stakes didn't stop the golfers from putting on a show in front of a crowd that featured plenty of celebrities, including Celine Dion and Josh Allen.
And fun was the main theme of the event with Dion singing, Woods breaking into laughter throughout and an entertained crowd, which drew plenty of reaction from social media:
The format called for the teams to compete in triples for the first nine holes and one-hole singles matches in the final six holes. Teammates alternated shots in the triples as they hit drives and iron shots into the simulator and chips and putts on the putting green.
They also had to decide when to use the Hammer rule, which increased the value of a hole when used. Each team had three hammers, and a hole could be worth as many as three points if both sides used one together.
Yet there weren't many momentum swings in the fairly evenly matched triples format. Atlanta took a 3-1 lead through nine as the two sides split a number of holes.
The most memorable moments involved Woods and Kim, as the all-time legend didn't miss a chance to remind the 22-year-old he had already won three Masters by the time he was born. What's more, Kim had Woods and everyone else cracking up when he tossed his putter in celebration thinking he made a long shot only for it to just miss.
Between that, Woods asking for chicken fingers in the middle of a match and Dion singing, it was clear the vibes were relaxed in the regular-season finale.
Atlanta left no doubt in the singles matches, though, as Horschel and Glover won holes after hammer throws to put the victory away with ease.
Attention now turns to the playoffs, where Atlanta will face The Bay in the semifinals. Woods will only be a spectator in the postseason, but he will surely be an interested one after helping the league find its footing in its first season.
