WWE NXT Results: Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights From February 25
Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of WWE NXT on February 25.
WWE and TNA's partnership has led to some interesting interactions recently, but things picked up this week with two cross-promotional title matches.
Moose put the TNA X-Division Championship on the line against Lexis King, while The Hardy Boyz defended the TNA tag titles against No Quarter Catch Crew.
In addition to that, a third title bout saw Stephanie Vaquer defend her NXT Women's North American Championship against Karmen Petrovic.
Let's take a look at everything that happened on Tuesday's episode of NXT.
Stephanie Vaquer vs. Karmen Petrovic
1 of 6
The NXT Women's North American title was on the line when Vaquer took on Petrovic in the opening match of the night. Ashante "Thee" Adonis accompanied the challenger to the ring.
They kept things technical at first and traded some takedowns and near-falls. It took a couple of minutes before they started incorporating strikes into their offense.
They used a steady pace for this bout so they could up the intensity for short bursts of time. The crowd was vocal during those sequences, but its silence during the less exciting moments was just as noticeable.
This was a solid outing from two women who have both been important figures in the NXT women's division in 2025. They did a good job escalating the action so it was at its most exciting toward the end.
Vaquer picked up the win to retain her title in a hard-fought contest. Giulia came out, and they agreed to have a match to find out who the best champion is.
Result: Vaquer defeated Petrovic
Grade: B
Notable Moments and Observations
—Adonis stole Bryan Keith's look.
—Vaquer is so smooth. She could have gone right to the main roster. She's that good.
—Petrovic was doing a great job selling in this match.
—Vaquer's 619 needs a little work.
Moose vs. Lexis King
2 of 6
King got a shot at a TNA title this week when he challenged Moose for the X-Division Championship. His Heritage Cup was not on the line, so he had nothing to lose.
King avoided a shot in the corner, but Moose hit him with a huge chop a moment later. The challenger was already having trouble breathing after the second hit.
King began to build some momentum, but one big side slam from Moose put him back on the mat.
This ended up being a far more competitive match than expected. It would have been reasonable for Moose to win in dominant fashion to set him up for Oba Femi, so seeing King get so close to a win was a genuine shock.
Moose showed off his agility with a springboard crossbody and his strength with a powerbomb, but King found enough life to kick out. It took a huge Spear to put him away for the pin.
Femi immediately showed up to confront the winner.
Result: Moose defeated King
Grade: B
Notable Moments and Observations
—King somehow made himself look even more ridiculous with his hairstyle.
—Moose hit a nice standing dropkick to knock King off the top turnbuckle.
—The bump King took over the top rope to the ramp looked painful.
NQCC vs. The Hardy Boyz
3 of 6
Jordynne Grace came out to give a promo, but she was interrupted by Roxanne Perez. The segment ended with Grace knocking The Prodigy out of the ring.
Tavion Heights and Myles Borne had their biggest opportunity to date when they challenged Matt and Jeff Hardy for the TNA tag titles.
Heights tried to bully Jeff with his power at first, but the veteran fired right back. This was a competitive back-and-forth fight leading into the commercial break.
Nathan Frazer and Axiom were sitting on the ramp to watch the action when we returned. The Hardys hit their classic Twist of Fate and Swanton combo to score the win and retain the TNA tag titles.
Heights and Borne helped make this a fun and frenetic match. The Hardys will always be popular, but it felt like the rookies were the ones working the hardest here.
Result: The Hardys defeated NQCC
Grade: B-
Notable Moments and Observations
—The Hardys still get one of the biggest pops in WWE.
—WWE wasted no time getting a new Hardy Boyz shirt on the website.
—The CW censoring the crowd so much makes it hard to get into the show sometimes.
—The fans were hyped to see Santino Marella when he booked the Hardys vs. Fraxiom in his role as TNA director of authority.
Lola Vice vs. Arianna Grace
4 of 6
Arianna Grace accidentally talked herself into a match against Lola Vice this week. Grace landed the first couple of strikes, but all it did was make Vice angry.
This wasn't as one-sided as one would expect. Grace got in a lot more offense than expected before Vice started taking her apart with kicks.
Vice picked up a relatively short and easy win. Her celebration was interrupted by the new group in NXT causing some mayhem backstage.
Result: Vice defeated Grace
Grade: C
Notable Moments and Observations
—Chelsea Green and Piper Niven had a funny backstage segment with Zaria and Sol Ruca.
Ricky Saints and Je'Von Evans vs. Wes Lee and Ethan Page
5 of 6
Ricky Saints and Je'Von Evans teamed up this week to take on Wes Lee and Ethan Page in the main event.
Evans went right after All Ego to get the match started, but Page tagged out to Lee almost immediately. Saints tagged in and leveled Lee with a back elbow.
These two teams were evenly matched in a lot of ways. Evans and Lee were the quick high-flyers, while Page and Saints were the more versatile technicians.
This was a fun encounter, but it didn't feel like the kind of special debut match someone like Saints should get coming into WWE.
Saints picked up the win for his team by pinning Lee with his finisher.
Result: Saints and Evans defeated Lee and Page
Grade: B
Notable Moments and Observations
—Evans and Lee work so well together. They are both light enough to do some unique things nobody else can do with them.
—Lee's cronies got involved but didn't have an impact on the end of the match.
—The way Saints hit his finisher looked cool but would have looked way better if Lee had landed on his shoulder.
The Final Word
6 of 6Tuesday's NXT continued to foster WWE's relationship with TNA by featuring two title matches with the latter promotion's gold on the line.
Moose and The Hardy Boyz picked up predictable wins while also being set up for future matches at Roadblock on March 11.
The best performance of the night was a tie between the women's North American title bout and the tag match that closed the show.
Vaquer and Giulia agreeing to fight in a title vs. title match is going to be one of the biggest talking points coming out of the show, but Vaquer's match with Petrovic should not be overlooked.
