NBA 2K15: All-Star Game Simulation, Tips, Reggie Jackson Talks MyPark on 2KTV
Which conference will win the NBA All-Star Game? According to a simulation from the NBA 2K15 developer team, the Eastern Conference will top the Western Conference, 113-110, behind a strong game from the New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony. You can see highlights in the video above.
Most would suspect the West to reign supreme, considering it has the reputation as the power conference. However, in the virtual hoops world, Melo salvaged some hometown pride for Knicks Nation. The star of the struggling hosts of this season's All-Star Game took home MVP honors in the simulation.
Tips From the Developers
Producers Mike Wang and Scott O'Gallagher accompanied Rachel DeMita in the latest episode of 2KTV and gave some tips for gamers playing with the real-life All-Stars.
Wangโwho has long been associated with NBA 2K's developmentโtalked about using the slashing style of Washington Wizardsย star John Wall, as well as breaking virtual ankles with the Cleveland Cavaliers' Kyrie Irving.
This might seem like simple information, but I can't tell you how many times I've seen guys online relegate Irving to a three-point specialist while allowing LeBron James to ball-dominate. To get the most out of the Cavs in the game, you have to allow Irving to play to his strengths.
Yes, he is a dynamic outside shooter with a moving-shot-three rating of 88 and standing-shot-three mark of 84, but his ball-control attribute is a 99. Use Irving to take the ball to the rim.
Master NBA 2K tutorial composer Shakedown 2012 shows how deadly Irving can be in NBA 2K15 in the video below.
Top Plays, Champions and Pros in the Park

Some guys from the Park don't need any tips. In fact, they probably need to be sharing some of their best practices with the rest of us. There were too many awesome plays to count in the video, but the one that really stuck out to me was the over-the-backboard alley-oop.ย You can see it at around the 5:20 mark of the video.
Trust me, it's bananas.
The Park is about having fun, but when 2K adds stakes to the mode, things get serious.
The first-ever MyPark Championship just ended and the Old Town Flyers were crowned the champions of The Park for now. The margin of victory over Sunset Beach was narrow, but it goes down as a win nonetheless. Old Town will now get a newly designed park courtesy of the NBA 2K15 devs for their efforts.
It's a nice way to reward gamers who put in real work on 2K's video game courts.
Not everyone that plays in the Park is a wannabe baller. Every once in awhile, you'll come across a real NBA player. Recently, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Reggie Jackson tried his hand at cyber pick-up basketball. From the sound of his interview with DeMitta, it was a humbling experience for the OKC star.
He mentioned getting dunked on by mascots and learning how the Park mode functions. Sounds like Reggie needs some time to sharpen his skills.
