Knicks Trade Rumors Tracker: Latest Updates Ahead of 2015 NBA Trade Deadline
Any hope of a quick, painless rebuild for the New York Knicks under team president Phil Jackson is beginning to fade.
The question became how much wheeling and dealing the front office will be able to pull off before the trade deadline.

Prigioni Traded to Rockets
Thursday, Feb. 19
Ian Begley of ESPN reported that Pablo Prigioni was traded to the Houston Rockets for two second-round draft choices and Alexey Shved.
On Feb. 3, Marc Berman of the New York Post reported a recent scratch pointed toward the team trying to keep him healthy:
"The team had not disclosed the injury during Derek Fisher's pregame press conference, leading to speculation the club didn't want to risk injuring Prigioni any further because it is trying to trade him. Prigioni sat on the bench in a suit as the Knicks lost, 108-97.
According to a league source, Prigioni is on the trade block with the Feb. 19 deadline approaching. Though he is signed for next season at $1.7 million, only $300,000 of that total is guaranteed.
"
Berman also passed along the guard's response when asked about the talk: "No reason to think about it, it's directly out of our hands. I focus on the next practice, supporting the guys, keep moving on. Just focusing on the team and give my best. In the summer we will see. Now just focusing on our team."
Calderon on the Block, Could Be Bought Out
Thursday, Feb. 12
Jose Calderon is a veteran who could still be a valuable bench piece for a playoff team. He's a pass-first point guard who can come off the bench and stabilize an offense, especially if a team's starter at the position is in foul trouble.
He's also 33. That means by the time the Knicks are ready to make waves in the East again, he probably won't be much of a contributor. That's why it's no surprise to see his name on the trade block, per Al Iannazzone of Newsday:
"Only Anthony is assured of remaining a Knick when the calendar hits March, and he's expected to have surgery on his left knee at some point after Sunday's All-Star Game. The Knicks are trying to trade Calderon and [Pablo] Prigioni, and [Amar'e] Stoudemire and [Andrea] Bargnani likely will be bought out after the Feb. 19 trade deadline.
"
Calderon is averaging a shade over nine points and four assists per game for the Knicks. It's not a roster suited to his skill set, though. There aren't enough pure shooters around him. A team like the Golden State Warriors, with all of those sharpshooters, is where he could excel.
The report doesn't mention any direct links to teams with interest so far, though. New York needs to hope a market begins to develop as teams make a final assessment of their needs.
Bargnani Being Shopped
Thursday, Feb. 12
There have been times throughout Andrea Bargnani's career where he's flashed the ability of a top overall pick, which he was in 2006. They never lasted long and have been even more infrequent in recent years as he's struggled to overcome injury woes.
In the Bleacher Report video above, Steve Popper of The Record mentions the enigmatic big man as somebody the Knicks are hoping to deal before the deadline. Moke Hamilton of SNY notes that gives the front office a short amount of time to do a terrific sell job:
Who knows, may they'll find a team willing to take a chance. He's an interior player who averages 15 points and five rebounds for his career while being able to stretch the floor. Staying healthy is a concern, but effective post players aren't easy to come by.
He also has an expiring contract, which would both limit the risk and potentially provide some financial flexibility for another team. It's still a tough sell for the Knicks, though.
