Patriots Parade 2015: Twitter Reaction, Photos, Videos, GIFs and More
Following their dramatic 28-24 victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX, the New England Patriots and their fans celebrated the championship with a memorable parade Wednesday.
While the parade was initially supposed to take place Tuesday, Boston mayor Marty Walsh postponed it one day due to blizzard-like conditions:

There were certainly some residuals from the snowfall, as seen in this photo courtesy of Fox News' Rick Leventhal, fans still came out in force and the parade went off without incident:
The city of Boston has experienced plenty of championship parades over the past several years with the Patriots, Bruins, Celtics and Red Sox all winning championships. Wednesday's celebration was as big or bigger than any of them, and it followed a familiar route, as seen in this layout of the route courtesy of The Boston Globe:
Despite the fact that the weather hadn't been ideal in Boston for several days, that didn't stop Patriots nation from lining the streets downtown, as seen in this time-lapse video courtesy of the Pats' official Twitter account:
The hallmark of every Boston victory parade is the use of duck boats. This photo offers a glimpse of stars such as Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski loading onto the boats and getting prepared to take a triumphant ride down Boylston Street:
Tuesday's parade kicked off in grand fashion as Patriots owner Robert Kraft occupied the lead duck boat with the Lombardi Trophy in hand, per Peter Wilson of WBZ-TV:
Not surprisingly, one of the biggest reactions of the day came when rookie cornerback Malcolm Butler's duck boat made an appearance.
The Super Bowl hero intercepted Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson in the end zone to preserve New England's victory, and the fans showed their adoration, as seen in this Vine:
Wide receiver Julian Edelman, who caught the game-winning touchdown in the Super Bowl and reeled in nine catches for 109 yards received a fantastic ovation as well:
Not surprisingly, the crowd was quite raucous, and some of the fans were huge hits just like the players. One example of that was a fan who brought a sign that parodied Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman mocking Pats corner Darrelle Revis after Seattle receiver Doug Baldwin beat him for a touchdown.
As seen in this photo from Eric Fisher of CBS Boston, the fan related Sherman holding up four fingers to Brady's four Super Bowl rings:
Gronk was also a huge factor in New England's Super Bowl win as he caught six passes for 68 yards and a touchdown. He is known as a free spirit to say the least, and he showcased that by dancing, as seen in this Vine posted by John Feitelberg of BarStoolSports.com:
While there is nothing out of the ordinary about Gronkowski having a good time, the same can't be said for head coach Bill Belichick. With that said, the always-stoic mastermind loosened up and flashes a grin during the parade:
Brady seemed to be having a great time in his own right, and he shared it with his son in a heart-warming moment, per SI.com contributor Pete Blackburn:
The future Hall of Fame quarterback's son even got up close and personal with the Lombardi Trophy just like his dad has on four separate occasions, according to NFL Network:
The party really kicked into an extra gear once the duck boats reached City Hall Plaza as confetti cannons showered the air with red, white and blue paper:
That meant Gronk naturally took it to the next level as well as the big tight end started to pound some beers, as seen in this photo from BarStoolSports.com:
Gronkowski even broke out a few more dance moves after that:
While many of the players let loose and the fans showed their appreciation, the parade came off as a classy affair without any major issues.
There is no question that the Patriots overcame a great deal of adversity and controversy on the road to a championship, and they celebrated like a team that conquered countless obstacles.
Questions will persist regarding the Pats' tactics in relation to Deflategate, but on Tuesday none of that matters to the Patriots or the people of Boston.
