Patriots Parade 2015: Route, Date, Time, TV Schedule, Live Stream and More

Timothy RappFeb 2, 2015

For the fourth time in the past 14 years, there will be a parade in Boston celebrating the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots.

According to ESPNBoston.com, "The victory parade for the New England Patriots, winners of Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night, has been scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, according to Boston Mayor Marty Walsh. The parade will start at the Prudential Center and end at City Hall."

However, due to weather, the parade was pushed back until Wednesday, via Andrew Ryan of the Boston Globe.

On Wednesday, Walsh talked about the decision not to re-schedule the parade a second time, according to the Associated Press:

"

Boston Mayor Martin Walsh says the victory parade for the New England Patriots can't be pushed back again even though the city is still digging out from a snowstorm and the subway system is having weather-related service problems.

Walsh announced Monday night that the parade would be postponed until Wednesday morning while Boston recovered from its second major winter storm in a week.

He said Tuesday that many people have suggested postponing the parade again — this time until Saturday. He says the players will have scattered by then.

"

Prior to the re-scheduling, Walsh spoke about the city's preparations for the event.

“We were quietly over the weekend removing snow from Boylston Street and a few places around the city of Boston,” Walsh told WHDH 7 in Boston. “Quietly. We didn't want to jinx anybody.”

The only team they may have jinxed is the Seattle Seahawks.

The plan is to have the organization paraded through the city on the distinctive Duck Boat tour buses, which are also boats. More information is expected to be announced on Monday afternoon, including broadcast and streaming details.

Meanwhile, two Patriots players, Julian Edelman and Malcolm Butler, will be paraded through Disneyland on Monday. Normally, the game's MVP goes to the park, but since Tom Brady has had the honor twice in his career, Edelman and Butler will represent the Patriots at the happiest place on Earth this year.

It's pretty unreal that the Patriots have now won four Super Bowls (and reached six) during the Bill Belichick and Brady era. And there's no reason to think the Patriots couldn't find themselves parading through the city of Boston again next season. After all, Brady is showing no signs of slowing down, and Belichick remains the mad scientist pulling all of the strings.

There could yet be a slight damper on these proceedings, depending on how the NFL rules in the Deflategate scandal. But for now, New England will be in party mode on Tuesday, celebrating another title for the Pats.
