Barbosa Diagnosed With Knee Sprain
Golden State Warriors guard Leandro Barbosa was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday night's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder with what's been characterized as a knee sprain.
Rusty Simmons of The San Francisco Chronicle tweeted out the news:
Barbosa is averaging 7.2 points and 1.7 assists per game on 48.6 percent shooting. He had one point in six minutes before exiting. Shaun Livingston and Andre Iguodala may see a minutes increase if Barbosa's injury proves to be serious, though it doesn't appear the team is categorizing it as such.
Barbosa has been a surprising offensive catalyst on a minimum contract for Golden State, so it'll be interesting to see if the bench drags with him out. The Warriors were already hemorrhaging points in bench-only units, so Steve Kerr may want to stagger starter minutes even more with Barbosa out.
