The Toronto Sun's Kurtis Larson confirmed the news with a Toronto FC spokesperson. With the MLS team's season coming to an end by way of Saturday's 1-0 defeat to New England, Bradley is wasting no time addressing the problem.
This will be the second attempt to fix the foot issues, as Bradley underwent a scheduled procedure in April regarding the same injury. Urgency was needed then with the World Cup around the corner, but now Bradley has the entire offseason to take care of the injury.
His club and country certainly both hope he does so. Despite sputtering to an 11-15-8 record, Bradley and Jermain Defoe represent a lethal combination capable of contending in the MLS next season.
Jurgen Klinsmann and the U.S. will be without Bradley for a pair of November friendlies against Colombia and Ireland. The temporary hole in the midfield should allow for Klinsmann to give some high-potential youngsters valuable caps, but the Americans are also sure to miss Bradley's presence in the central midfield.
