Kansas City Royals vs. SF Giants Game 4: Live Score and World Series Highlights
In what was a must-win game for the San Francisco Giants, they were able to rally from an early deficit against the Kansas City Royals and win Game 4, 11-4, to even the 2014 World Series at two games apiece.
San Francisco jumped out to a first-inning lead, but the Kansas City offense took advantage of some Giants mistakes in the third inning. The Royals scored four runs in the top of the third and chased Giants starter Ryan Vogelsong from the game.
However, San Francisco was able to answer with a run of its own in the bottom of the inning.

With the Royals leading 4-2 in the top of the fourth, Giants reliever Yusmeiro Petit took over and kept his team in the game. He yielded just two hits in three shutout innings and left after the sixth inning with his team leading, 7-4.
After trailing 4-2 entering the bottom of the fifth inning, the Giants scored nine unanswered runs over the next three innings and never looked back.
Every one of the Giants’ starters recorded a base hit, and two players in the No. 9 hole—including Petit—notched a hit.
Although the final score indicates a blowout, this game was anything but easy for the Giants. However, they were able to battle back and win a pivotal Game 4 to avoid a 3-1 hole.
