Tennessee Titans rookie offensive lineman Taylor Lewan has chosen to settle out of court on the three misdemeanor charges he faces stemming from an arrest in Dec. 2013, per Dan Murphy of ESPN.

The 23-year-old was originally arrested just after midnight on Dec. 1 after he allegedly struck two men outside of a restaurant in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Lewan claimed he was a peacemaker in the incident, but the alleged victims and a witness said that wasn’t the case.

Rather than fight the charges during a trial, Lewan and his attorney John Shea have chosen to settle. Details about the settlement were not immediately available, per Murphy, specifics will be made public at the hearing on Oct. 30. Shea declined to elaborate, saying that “there were still moving parts,” according to Murphy's report.

Lewan was taken 11th overall in last year's draft, and has played a significant role in the Titans' offensive line this season.
