Monday Recap

Manchester United battled to a 2-2 draw against West Bromwich Albion in the final match of Week 8, a fixture that gave the fans four fantastic goals and packed plenty of late drama.
The hosts took the lead thanks to a stunning goal from Stephane Sessegnon, blasting the ball past David De Gea after just eight minutes. West Brom took the match to United, who looked slow and sluggish for most of the first half.
As shared by Bleacher Report UK, Louis van Gaal did not look happy:
The home fans started taunting the Red Devils supporters, pleased with what they were seeing from their club. West Brom's Twitter feed got in on the fun when it became clear Marouane Fellaini would enter the match in the second half:
"Fellaini has now taken his tracksuit off, fortunately he has a Man Utd strip on underneath #WBAMUN
— West Bromwich Albion (@WBAFCofficial) October 20, 2014"
That proved to be a mistake. The Belgium international immediately added some pace and a sense of urgency to the Red Devils squad, and it was only fitting he would score the equaliser early in the second half.
Controlling a high cross, he created space for himself before thumping the ball home, an even more impressive goal than Sessegnon's.
The visitors now sensed blood, but West Brom regained the lead through Saido Berahino, who timed his run perfectly and was aided by right-back Rafael being in no-man's land. The Sunday Times' Jonathan Northcroft was not impressed:
Rafael redeemed himself late, setting up Daley Blind's equalising goal with a great cross for Radamel Falcao, who laid it back for the Dutch international.
Following the draw, the Red Devils now trail league-leaders Chelsea by 10 points, making next week's head-to-head a must win for Van Gaal's squad.
Sunday Recap

Eight goals in just two matches once again showed why fans love the Premier League so much on Sunday, as Liverpool defeated Queens Park Rangers 3-2 in one of the craziest fixtures of the year and Stoke City recorded a 2-1 win over Swansea.
Paddy Power perhaps said it best after Liverpool and QPR finished serving up some late drama:
The Reds appeared to be on their way to a close 1-0 win at Loftus Road after Richard Dunne had scored an own goal in the 67th minute, and with three minutes left in regulation, QPR's late push appeared it would be fruitless. So, naturally, both teams somehow managed to score four more goals.
It began when Eduardo Vargas deservedly equalised in the 87th minute. The hosts were happy with the point, only for Philippe Coutinho to put the Reds back in front. Vargas produced some more heroics to tie things up once again, before Steven Caulker scored the hosts' second own goal of the match. All in a span of seven minutes.
As shared by the Premier League's official Twitter feed, even the players struggled to grasp what had just happened:
Brendan Rodgers was obviously pleased with the final result, although he felt for QPR, per Sky Sports:
The win keeps the Reds in the top five until at least Monday, when Manchester United will visit West Bromwich Albion. QPR fought like Lions but came away empty handed, and they remain bottle of the table as a result.
Swansea have now gone five consecutive matches without winning after their brilliant start to the season, falling to Stoke City 2-1. Wilfried Bony gave the Welsh side the lead from the penalty spot, but Charlie Adam converted his spot kick as well to tie things up before half-time.
The match seemed destined to end in a tie for most of the second half, but Jonathan Walters found a way to win his team the match in the 76th minute. The victory allows Stoke to put some distance between themselves and the relegation zone, as they safely sit in the belly of the standings.
Swansea are still ranked eighth thanks to their hot start to the campaign, but their current poor form is worrying.
Saturday Recap

Sergio Aguero was on point for City in their 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur, scoring all four of the hosts' goals. The Argentina international took three penalties and converted two, while also scoring from open play early in the first and late in the second half.
Manager Manuel Pellegrini didn't hide his praise, via BBC Sport:
Christian Eriksen scored for Spurs, who also missed a penalty through Roberto Soldado and finished the match with 10 players after Federico Fazio was sent off in his first Premier League start for the club.
Oscar scored a stunning free-kick to give Chelsea an early lead over Crystal Palace, and after two red cards (for Cesar Azpilicueta and Damien Delaney), the Blues doubled their advantage via Cesc Fabregas.
Fraizer Campbell added some late excitement by pulling one back for the hosts, but the score remained unchanged in injury time as the league leaders won, 2-1.
When Paul Lagan asked Jose Mourinho what won his team the match on Saturday, the manager put his answer in writing:
Arsenal needed some late heroics from Danny Welbeck to manage a 2-2 draw against Hull City. Alexis Sanchez had given the Gunners the lead before Mohamed Diame and Abel Hernandez gave the visitors a shock advantage.
The Gunners looked toothless for much of the second half but came up big when it was needed, salvaging a point with virtually no time remaining.
Bleacher Report UK's James McNicholas still saw the result as a missed opportunity, however:
Southampton's incredible start to the season continued with an 8-0 thrashing of Sunderland. The inevitable Graziano Pelle was on point with two goals, but it was Dusan Tadic who stole the show, per OptaJoe:
Everton took advantage of an uninspired Aston Villa squad, winning 3-0, while West Ham United beat Burnley 3-1. Gabriel Obertan scored the only goal in Newcastle United's 1-0 win over Leicester City, giving the Magpies their first win of the season.
Liverpool will travel to London to take on Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, with Stoke City and Swansea City facing off later in the day.
Week 8 of the 2014-15 Premier League season will conclude on Monday, as West Bromwich Albion host Manchester United.
