David Moyes Discusses Possibility of Returning to Management
Former Manchester United and Everton manager David Moyes has overcome the disappointment of his failed stay with the Red Devils and is ready to return to the touchline.
Dan Roan of BBC Sport provided comments from an exclusive interview with the longtime Toffees boss. He lasted less than a year at Old Trafford as the pressure of replacing Sir Alex Ferguson eventually became too much, with results lagging behind expectations.
"I am ready to return," Moyes said. "I have enjoyed the time off but I have got to wait on the right job and make sure it's one that I want."

The 51-year-old Scot says he's been contacted about various openings since his exit from United. The timing simply wasn't right after the quick turnaround in emotions from taking such a prestigious job, only to have the club go in another direction 10 months later.
Unsurprisingly, he didn't name any clubs that had previously reached out to him or that he may be interested in taking charge of down the line.
Instead he focused on what he's going to look for in that next opportunity. Above everything else, he states the ability to have some time to build the squad in his vision is essential. It's something he didn't have enough time to accomplish with United.
"It didn't materialise that way, so I am hoping that the next club I join gives me the chance to build a team, because I think that is what I am good at," Moyes said. "I also think that I am good at spotting and identifying young players, not only young players, but players."
He says when he joined the storied club, there was a six-year plan in place for him to complete the transition from Ferguson. So it was a shock when he was let go, despite the results that didn't live up to typical United standards.
Damian Buxton of Squawka notes there's already a noticeable difference about the direction of the club at this stage of the campaign under new manager Louis van Gaal.
"The starts were both mixed," he wrote. "However, while Moyes started well before seeing the wheels start to fall off at the end of his opening seven games, Van Gaal looks to have turned the corner after a sticky start thanks to back to back wins before the international break."
It's important to remember Moyes was an example of stability and reliability during his more than a decade with Everton. Things didn't work out with United like either side hoped, but whoever replaced Ferguson was always going to find themselves in a very difficult spot.
Now that Moyes has declared himself prepared for a return, it shouldn't take long before the rumor mill starts heating up with potential destinations. He made it clear he's going to take his time finding the right landing spot, though.
