Group C

Spain bounced back from their loss against Slovenia with an easy 4-0 win over Luxembourg, putting the defending champions firmly in contention for a ticket to Euro 2016.
David Silva struck first with a beautiful effort before Paco Alcacer added a second just before half-time, as La Roja were on cruise control for much of the match. Chelsea's Diego Costa finally broke his international scoring drought after half-time, as reported by ESPN FC's Dermot Corrigan:
Juan Bernat added a late goal for good measure.
Thanks to a brace from star midfielder Marek Hamsik and a late goal from Stanislav Sestak, Slovakia remain top of the table after a 3-1 win over Belarus. The hosts had equalised through Timofei Kalachev, but Hamsik gave the lead back to the visitors in the 84th minute before Sestak iced it in added time.
Serhiy Sydorchuk scored the only goal in Ukraine's win over Macedonia, as the race at the top of the standings in Group C is really starting to heat up.
Group E

England did little to impress against Estonia on Sunday, but a Wayne Rooney free-kick after 74 minutes proved to be enough for the Three Lions to walk away with the win and the three points, continuing their perfect start to the qualifiers.
As shared by WhoScored.com, it had been four years since the team won four matches in a row:
The hosts frustrated England for most of the evening, even after captain Ragnar Klavan was sent off for a second bookable offence early in the second half. The visitors looked slow and sluggish, prompting former England striker Gary Lineker to share his feelings on the quality of the match:
"If Sterling wasn't fast asleep on the bench, I'm sure Roy would bring him on.
— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) October 12, 2014"
England dominated possession but showed little creativity in the attacking third, failing to register a shot on goal in the opening 40 minutes.
It took the introduction of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Raheem Sterling to add some spark to the attack, and it was a foul on the latter that led to the free-kick from a dangerous area, expertly converted by captain Rooney.
While the team's performance certainly was lacking, another win means England are in the driver's seat for Euro 2016 qualification. Rooney saw things the same way, via England's official Twitter feed:
Milivoje Novakovic scored twice inside four minutes to give Slovenia a first-half lead over a drab Lithuania side, and the second half hardly saw any action, as the visitors recorded a 2-0 win that takes them to second place in the group, three points behind leaders England.
Group G

Russia failed to break down a feisty Moldova squad at home, playing out a 1-1 draw that will hardly help the team in their bid to win Group G.
Artem Dzyuba opened the score from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute, only for the visitors to strike back within 60 seconds through Alexandru Epureanu. Sport-Express.ru's Artur Petrosyan was far from satisfied:
With the result, the pressure on Fabio Capello continues to mount following a poor 2014 World Cup.
Rubin Okotie scored midway through the first half to give Austria a 1-0 win over Montenegro and the lead in Group G. While the hosts' performance was hardly inspiring, the win opens the door for Euro 2016 qualification, particularly given Russia's early struggles.
Sweden remain right on the tails of Austria and Russia following a 2-0 win over Liechtenstein. The hosts didn't have their best performance on Sunday, but first-half goals from Erkan Zengin and Jimmy Durmaz would prove to be enough to take the three points.
