5 Biggest Blunders in World Football This Weekend
While much quality football has been played across the world this weekend, there have also been the occasional moments of madness.
Goalkeepers play a major role in our look at the biggest blunders of the weekend, including howlers from Germany, Italy and Belgium.
In addition, we highlight a match official who has had better displays than this weekend.
Let's take a look at some of the biggest blunders of the weekend.
Mike Oliver

Liverpool put their Champions League defeat by Basel behind them with a 2-1 win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, but referee Mike Oliver did not help their cause.
With the Reds leading 1-0, Saido Berahino broke clear on the edge of the Liverpool box before being brought down by Dejan Lovren.
As Metro reported, the foul was clearly committed outside of the penalty area, but Oliver pointed to the spot from where Berahino levelled for the Baggies.
Luckily for Liverpool, Jordan Henderson would later ensure the three points would remain on Merseyside.
Bernd Leno

The inevitable weekly goalkeeping howler comes from the Bundesliga, and Bayer Leverkusen's Bernd Leno might be advised to ignore this article.
Leno was solely at fault as Paderborn opened the goalscoring in the 20th minute of the game against Bayer.
Leno came a long way off his line to clear as Suleyman Koc chased down the ball, but the goalkeeper completely missed with his attempt to clear his lines, allowing the Paderborn man to score (via Ballsdotie.com).
Fortunately for the red-faced goalkeeper, the game finished 2-2 with a late equaliser by Karim Bellarabi, but the home fans could be forgiven for wondering what might have been if their goalkeeper had not missed his clearance.
Federico Marchetti
3 of 5
Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti will be buying his team-mates several large drinks this week after they bailed him out in the 3-2 win over Sassuolo.
The Rome club was looking comfortable with a 2-0 lead against its struggling opposition before Marchetti proved himself to be less than infallible.
Sassuolo striker Domenico Berardi was back in the team after a three-match suspension, and he could not believe his luck when he sprung the offside trap and a relatively tame effort squirmed under the body of Marchetti for Sassuolo's first league goal since the opening weekend (via @SerieAFFC).
Lazio, though, hit back and eventually came out 3-2 winners.
Nicolas Penneteau
4 of 5
When you sign a goalkeeper with over 400 Ligue 1 appearances, you can expect a decent amount of experience in your squad.
But nobody warned Charleroi of what was coming for Nicolas Penneteau, who was signed from Valenciennes in the summer, when the team lined up at home against Kortrijk in the Belgian Pro League on Saturday.
Admittedly, defender Sebastian Dewaest's back pass bobbled a little as it was returned to the goalkeeper during the game, but there was no excuse for Penneteau not controlling it (h/t PaddyPower.com).
Charleroi were eventually beaten 2-0.
Sadio Mane
5 of 5
Southampton striker Sadio Mane will not be watching highlights of his team's single-goal defeat at Tottenham Hotspur again any time soon.
Spurs were leading 1-0, courtesy of Christian Eriksen's 40th-minute strike, when Ronald Koeman's team were granted the chance of a late equaliser.
With six minutes remaining, Southampton left-back Ryan Bertrand sent over a great low cross which Mane looked destined to slot home from inches out.
Somehow, though, Mane got minimal contact on the ball, and the chance to take a point from north London was gone (via @Saints_Chat).
