Updates from Monday, Oct. 6
Michael Casagrande of AL.com passed along an update on Kenyan Drake following his injury:
"Kenyan Drake will be lost for the season with his broken leg suffered Saturday. He had surgery already along with linebacker Denzel Devall, coach Nick Saban said Monday.
Devall's ankle injury was "not probably as bad," Saban said. They are hoping to get him back in three to four weeks. The starter was injured on the first series of the game.

Alabama Crimson Tide running back Kenyan Drake suffered a broken leg in Saturday's 23-17 loss to Ole Miss.
AL.com's Andrew Gribble provides information from head coach Nick Saban:
"Alabama running back Kenyan Drake is already back in Birmingham after breaking his leg during the second quarter of Saturday's loss at Ole Miss.
Drake is expected to need surgery and is likely done for the season, Alabama coach Nick Saban said.
"
CBS Sports' Eye on College Football shared some initial observations regarding Drake's injury:
The Tide have a deep backfield that already features T.J. Yeldon and Derrick Henry as the main ball-carriers. However, heading into the game against Ole Miss, Drake paced all Alabama running backs with four rushing scores on the year.
The presumptive severity of Drake's injury casts aside most implications from a football standpoint for now. The primary concern becomes his well-being during his recovery.
