North London's Turkish Battle Zone

For a set amount of days, north London will play host to two of the Super Lig's biggest rivals as Besiktas come to the English capital for their Tottenham fixture, while Galatasaray's faithful fly in to face Arsenal.
It makes for a tense setting, as the authorities will undoubtedly hope to keep both sets of support in check, Craig Hope of the Daily Mail reporting that a total of 5,800 are expected to make the trip from Istanbul.

In the report, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson is quoted in professing: "We are aware of the background of the two clubs and appropriate plans will be in place. We are also aware that the clubs will have supporters already based in London."
One can only hope that the visiting supporters remain fixated upon their respective encounters without any need for an international fracas breaking out.
Besiktas and Galatasaray have one of the fiercest and most well-chronicled feuds in European football, and a fray on British shores wouldn't reflect well on the demeanour of either outfit.
Key Battle
Federico Fazio vs. Demba Ba

Demba Ba makes his return to the English setting on Thursday just a few months after leaving Chelsea for a new beginning in Turkey's top flight, an expedition that started brightly.
However, after netting a hat-trick in just his second outing for the Black and Whites, Ba has since seen a downward spiral in scoring form, failing to net in his last four games.

Standing in his way this week is likely to be a player striving to cut out a name for himself at White Hart Lane, as Federico Fazio is contending with a crop of talented centre-backs to earn Mauricio Pochettino's trust.
The defender is yet to make his Premier League debut since moving from Sevilla, but his performances in cup competition has been stellar at times, WhoScored.com noting his success in the Capital One Cup versus Nottingham Forest:
Fazio is still vying to break the partnership constructed between Jan Vertonghen and Younes Kaboul, but he stands as a great option to have in fighting off Ba's assault.
Vlad Chiriches looks likely to also start against the Turks on Thursday, but Fazio is quickly rising as a valued asset at Spurs and is one particularly worth keeping an eye on.
