Bayern Munich Transfer News and Rumours Tracker: Week of September 15
Bayern Munich will have to step up a gear this week as they take on Premier League champions Manchester City in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Pep Guardiola's side have had an average start to the new season—dropping points away to Schalke last week but regaining their composure against Stuttgart on Saturday—and will hope to avoid any further set-backs against their latest English opponents.
Here are all the latest transfer rumours and news surrounding the club this week.

Thomas Muller Snubbed Manchester United This Summer
1 of 2
Having just won the World Cup but a few months ago, we would forgive Thomas Muller for having a little too much on his plate at the moment.
Yet in an interview with The Guardian's Raphael Honigstein on Saturday, September 13, the German international stated that he had heard of some interest from Manchester United.
"I know there was interest, but Man Utd were interested in a lot of players this summer," stated the Bayern forward.
"It never really got anywhere because I had just renewed my contract [until 2019], and Bayern were clear that they saw my future here.
"The decision for me was an easy one."
Although it was a perfectly diplomatic answer, the English media chose to run with the story, reported by MailOnline's Matt Morlidge and Jack Wilson of the Daily Star the following day.
Perhaps not entirely breakthrough news, but an interesting development to ponder as we continue to watch the German forward at Bayern this season.
Holger Badstuber Adds to Bayern's Defensive Woes
2 of 2
As reported by Robin Cottle for MailOnline on Sunday, September 14, Bayern central defender Holger Badstuber now faces another lengthy absence, following a thigh injury that he picked up against Stuttgart over the weekend.
“Of course I'm very disappointed right now,” the defender told the club’s website.
“But I’m now used to it and I know how to deal with such situations. Don’t worry, I will come back and carry on from where I had got back to after my long injury absence.
“I will not give up.”
Although this will have little immediate effect on Bayern, aside from the likelihood of new signing Mehdi Benatia being rushed into the first team this week, it may have long-term consequences on how the club approach the January transfer window.
If poor Badstuber is out for anywhere near as long as his last injury, the club will have to sign a replacement to provide an alternative in his absence.
