Washington Should Think About Bringing In Mcdyess
The Washington Wizards, traded their second round pick Jermaine Taylor to the Huston Rockets yesterday for cash considerations.
The Wizards received back $2.5 million back, and they are hoping they can add a big man with their mid-level exception and their bi-annual exception.
The Wizards now have seven guards, including: Gilbert Arenas, Mike James, Deshawn Stevenson, Randy Foye, Mike Miller, Javaris Crittenton.
The Wizards are going to have to make another trade it's inevitable, because they still are going to deal Mike James expiring contract along with Deshawn Stevenson. Ernie Grunfeld, the Wizards general manager threw Stevenson in the Minnesota deal, but they preferred Darius Songaila.
Their are going to be plenty of veteran big men, this off-season including: Joe Smith, Stromile Swift, Mikki Moore, Brian Skinner, Francisco Elson and Fabricio Oberto, Antonio Mcdyess.
The best available name on that list is, Mcdyess. Mcdyess played under Flip Saunders in Detroit, and Saunders drew up pick and roll plays up for Mydyess and they both had success.
The question is, will Mcdyess want to play for Washington? Would Mcdyess prefer Washington, over Cleveland, Boston, Spurs. Also, how much would he cost?
Washington would have several questions, if they are thinking about acquiring Mcdyess.
If, Washington is capable of acquiring Mcdyess they would be a better team all around. They would have a better bench, and would be a serious contender in the Eastern Conference next season.
