A couple of seasons ago, Ferguson flew to Portugal to convince the Portuguese sensation to stay with the Red Devils. Ronaldo agreed and played a prominent part in United's Champions League winning team, scoring a staggering 42 goals in all competitions.
Carlos Tevez is set to join either Manchester City or Chelsea both of whom are considered as bitter rivals of Manchester United, a case of rubbing salt in the wounds of the United faithful.
