Oakland Athletics Struggles Continue Against The San Francisco Giants
Well, I was right on Sunday’s game, but was way off on Friday and Saturday’s games. The A’s had nothing. I am very disappointed in their performance.
The reason is that the offense, on paper looks killer. Jason Giambi, to me, is the biggest disappointment. He is batting .207, which to me is way too low for a hitter of his caliber. He has never been the same since he left.
I am going to give the pitching a pass. They are young and are bound to make mistakes.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Vin Mazzaro pitched five strong innings, but lost control in the sixth. I think he out pitched Tim Lincecum in those first five innings. Lincecum was just able to make pitches to get out of jams.
Josh Outman hit a bump in the road on Saturday. He was bound to lose some time. He kept the A’s in the game until the seventh inning. It was the first time he has given up more than 3 earned runs in a game.
I figured Matt Cain would win against Brett Anderson. Anderson has been shaky at times. At the moment, he might be the weak link in the A’s starting rotation.
Looking at the match up, I can see that the Giants are better than the A’s, but not by much. The Giants are still a .500 team that beat a struggling, sub par team.
I don’t think that the season is completely lost for the A’s, because they have such a young, talented starting rotation. The experience they will gain from pitching in the majors this year will shape them for years to come.
There is light at the end of the tunnel for A’s fans. I know this.
As for the Giants’ fans, please stop talking about the wild card. It’s way too early for that. Wait until the middle of July to start.
