Shame On Platini For Bringing Up "The End of Football"
It was "the end of football," Michael Platini claimed when Manchester City tried to make a move for Kaka. He claimed that so much money should not be spent by any team during such torrid times, especially a team of City's calibre.
Real Madrid is a team that has built itself throughout its history, by using the "end of football" methodology described here.
They bought Zinedine Zidane when he was at his peak, got a hold of Luis Figo when he was at his magical best, snapped up Michael Owen when he was believed to be nothing short of wonder, pried out David Beckham when he was the hottest property in football and stole Ronaldo when he was the world's best striker.

Why wasn't that the death of football?
And today it's history all over yet again with Real Madrid doing what they do best. Now when Kaka, the talisman, the heart and the very soul of Milan is torn out of his place of worship, all Platini has to say is this: "It is very puzzling at a time when football faces some of its worst ever financial challenges."
If indeed Platini was puzzled then one should add in thesaurus the world "puzzle" as a synonym for stupidity.
Real Madrid making such moves has indeed resulted in "the end of football" not because of such bewildering cash splashed around by them, but because it has brought to light the different stances taken by Platini between Real Madrid and Manchester City.
Such clear favoritism and biased opinions from a person on top of any system is totally unacceptable. But I guess being unbiased is only a secondary requirement for his post these days.
