Look Who's Talking Now...

“As much as you try to focus on football with your day-to-day routine of meetings, lifting, walk-throughs, practices, games...you can focus but it’s still there,” Chiefs center Eric Ghiaciuc said of the distractions.
“It’s like when you turn your head, it’s still behind you. I think we were doing our best to focus on what needed to be focused on in our profession, but it was there and it was a bit of a problem.”
That's what former Bengals center Eric Ghiaciuc had to say about the pains of playing with Chad Ochocinco.
Really, Ghiaciuc?
Let's ask someone like Carson Palmer, Ryan Fitzpatrick or Bob Bratkowski about the pains of having to play with you. If class and unearned respect were to be temporarily suspended, I could tell you what those guys would say in summation:
"Eric Ghiaciuc? Talk about a disruption in the meeting room. Everyday we would spend an extra half an hour changing the scheme of our plays so they could be affective with our sprawled, airborne center five yards in the backfield. If you want a reason why we couldn't keep our QB's upright or why we only averaged 3.6 yards per carry you would have to go out to Kansas City and look for the guy who is simultaneously rolling shotgun snaps and reading 'Idiot's Guide To Not Sucking At Football.'"
The sad truth is that Ghiaciuc doesn't have the skill or reputation in the league to be calling other players distractions. Chad falling asleep in a meeting is comparatively less distracting than Ghiaciuc being fireman-carried to the quarterback via Shaun Rogers.

Other News:
-Carson has been quoted again talking about Chad and you can read about it here if you feel like wasting some time. The media-types continue to blow up every comment made by Carson about Chad to create a story where there really hasn't been one for two years.
-Vastly more interesting is this article and interview with Chad about his offseason training regiments that have been incorporating Boxing techniques. This is the first anyone has seen of Chad in quite a while and the video verifies that he is at least working hard if not rededicated.
-As we predicted a while back, Cowboys rusher Greg Ellis has been released and the Bengals are on his list of potential landing spots. The Peaches and Herb song "Reunited" should be on repeat on the Bengals locker room stereo if any more of Mike Zimmer's former Cowboy players are signed.
-Cornerback Leon Hall had his DUI reduced to a reckless driving charge—yet more proof that if you throw enough money at a problem, it can be fixed. At this point, it's undetermined what punishment may be passed down from the league. But the safe assumption is it will be a fine.
-And just a house keeping note: OneManCrimeWave will be a guest on BengalsRoar radio on Thursday at 6:30 PM. If you have the time, you should check out their site and give the show a listen.
I leave you with this.
