Don't Win Anything, Arsene
Well, Manchester United won the trophy this season for the third time running. And it sure has been a hell of a season for Arsenal, with injuries, inconsistency and hard luck.
Well, I am not here to analyze the reasons for Arsenal's failiures and suggest measures to improve the level of performance next year. I am here to give Arsene Wenger a small piece of advice: Don't win anything.
The English Premier League, in the 1980s was pure football. It was a joy to watch, for the fans at that time(I was born in 1989, but my senior friends tell me so), and provided pure football, and nothing else.
But after the 1990s football has been gradually changing. It has become a game of money. It's a complete business, as is any other in this modern era. After the beginning of the new millenium, that change has been complete.
Those who have money will succeed, more like Darwin's theory of competence(is that it?). So what I am coming to say is that football is no more what it used to be.
Nowadays, it's a game that is played for money, and wherever there's money, the game gets deflected in that manner, like a free-kick getting deflected to goal from the legs of a defender.

Manchester United is one such deflection. It's more of a dead end to the Football Association, and they have no where to go. Manchester United have the largest fan base in the world, and if they don't win anything one season, the markets of this huge business called football will be drastically affected.
The fans all around the world will go berserk, and there will be a financial meltdown, in the world of Premier League. Some of you will discard this as some absurd thoughts of a crazy Arsenal fan, but it should not be so.
IF that is not the case with Premier Leage, then why have almost half the managers in the Premier League shown reluctancy in playing against Manchester United at Old Trafford?
Why, although many managers complained against the officials influencing of Manchester United victories at OT, there has been no investigation to this date, at least for a name-sake?
And it's not only the managers in the Premier League that feel they have been cheated. The normal viewer of football, without any bias will feel that, when he watches a Manchester United home gaem. I have felt so, very often. Leave me. Many of my friends have said me so, and I feel it is right, outright.
I am not saying that Manchester United is a team that is completely useless. They are having great players, and a great team. Thay play well, and sometimes, even beautiful football. But that is just like any other Premier League club. That is not enough to make them champions.
What is needed to make them champions which is not there for the other clubs is that official support, with a copyrighted trade mark called Barclay's Premier League.
I don't question Sir Alex Ferguson or his abilities as a manager. He has been doing this for some time running now. And I admit to his excellence in this field. But after the '00s, he couldn't have done it without the money power of the club that he coaches.
That is definite, and with the help from the officials included, wouldn't we be surprised if Manchester United didn't make history on the papers? I would be.
So, what I have to say to Arsene Wenger is that I don't want to be surprised that way, and I don't want Arsenal winning trophies and titles the Manchester United way.
I, as a fan, doesn't need the happiness that comes when an undeserving victory keeps us on top of the world. I will be more sad, if something like that happens. If you are to win it, do it the Barcelona way. Do it. And make us happy beyond anything else.
