Jamaica vs. Mexico: Date, Time, TV Info and Preview
Mexico travel to Kingston, Jamaica for what is a big 2014 World Cup qualifying match against Jamaica.
It's only the fourth match of the "Hex" for El Tri, but they have gotten off to a rather poor start. Mexico have had three straight draws and are fifth in qualifying. It would be a shock for them to miss the World Cup, but they will want to finish as high as possible in the group.
There's little chance of Jamaica getting that far. The Reggae Boyz only have two points and failed to even qualify for the "Hex" prior to the 2010 World Cup.

With this match at home, though, there's every chance Jamaica will be able to steal some points.
Here's everything you need to know for this CONCACAF matchup.
When: Tuesday, June 4 at 9:30 p.m. ET
Where: Kingston National Stadium, Kingston, Jamaica
Watch: Telemundo
What's at Stake?
There's much more on the line for Mexico here. Despite arguably having the most overall talent of any CONCACAF country, El Tri have failed to impress through their first three qualifying matches.
It's most been a problem of failing to make the most of their attacks. Mexico have had a combined 49 shots against Honduras, Jamaica and the United States. Unfortunately, only 11 of those have been on goal.
The qualifying process is less than halfway over, so it's too early to start pushing the panic button and wondering if Mexico will even qualify for the World Cup. There's plenty of time for Jose Manuel de la Torre to get the train back on the tracks.
Failing to secure three points against Jamaica would not make the critics go away, though. If anything, they'll only get more vocal.
For Jamaica, getting anything out of this match will be huge. They did well to draw with Mexico in the Estadio Azteca and followed that up with a draw against Panama. It's unlikely Jamaica will make it to Brazil, but they could turn some heads with a strong performance on Tuesday.
Jamaica Player to Watch: Donovan Ricketts
Even at 35 years old, Donovan Ricketts is still going strong for the Reggae Boyz. He's been a fixture in the Jamaica setup going all the way back to the 1998 World Cup.
Going up against a strong Mexico side, Ricketts will need to be at his best in order to keep the score as low as possible. El Tri won't need any help finding goals, so it's imperative that the goalkeeper limits his mistakes next to nil.
He'll be called upon more than once to make key saves. Ricketts can help to swing the momentum of this match.
Mexico are coming in with worries about their goalscoring and attack. If Ricketts can keep them off the score sheet, those doubts will only serve to help Jamaica get a draw or possibly even a win on Tuesday.
Mexico Player to Watch: Javier Hernandez
If there's one player who can help to end Mexico's power outage, it's Javier Hernandez. Chicharito is among the best pure finishers in the world. He always manages to get himself in a position to score. Sometimes it seems as if there's a magnet in his boot and the ball just flies right to it as he taps in a goal.
Although Hernandez didn't feature in the Manchester United starting XI every week, he made a big impact off the bench.
As the main striker option for De La Torre, Hernandez has the opportunity to help fire Mexico ahead and eliminate whatever jitters they'll be carrying into the match. The longer the game goes without a goal, the more El Tri will be under pressure to find the difference. And it will only embolden Jamaica and give them more belief they can steal some points.
Prediction
This match actually seems a bit tricky to call. On paper, you would think Mexico would win this one easily. They're the better team and motivated to make up for what has been a series of lackluster results. El Tri will also be looking for revenge after drawing against Jamaica at home back in February.
Jamaica simply cannot match up in terms of talent and coaching. It will take a massive effort in order to stave off defeat.
And yet, with the way Mexico has performed, this funk they're in could be something bigger than a string of poor results. Maybe, just maybe, Jamaica will make that hot seat De La Torre is sitting on a lot hotter.
While that could happen, you simply cannot see Mexico leaving Kingston without a win. Hernandez will get an early goal, letting Mexico settle into the match and hold onto possession. When the Reggae Boyz try and chase the game late, it will be Hernandez again for a finish to give Mexico a comfortable win.
Mexico 2, Jamaica 0
