Masters Odds 2013: Golfers Worth Betting on
When fans start placing their bets on their favorites for the 2013 Masters, there is a wide range of candidates to choose from.
While Tiger Woods is seemingly coming into 2013's first major with the most hype, there are a plethora of players who are flying under the radar. And any of those guys could walk away with the title on Sunday.
Before you place your final bets, check out these players who have the best chances to put green in your wallet by winning the green jacket.
Tiger Woods
1 of 5Bet: To win
Why: Woods reclaimed the world's No. 1 ranking this year, arguably the biggest accomplishment of his career since his sex scandal. Now Woods is poised to make a run at the Masters after winning three events this season.
Woods has wins at the Farmers Insurance Open, the WGC-Cadillac Championship and the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Those three wins have driven him to the top of the 2013 money list.
However, his performances at Augusta have run the spectrum over the past few years. In 2012, he finished 40th, his worst showing at the Masters since 1996. In 2011, he finished fourth in a tournament where many felt like Woods started to finally rebound from his scandal.
Woods has the highest odds of winning at Augusta, where he is a 3-to-1 favorite.
Woods has been undoubtedly the best golfer in the world in 2013. He's back to his dominating ways, and a win at Augusta would solidify his return to the top.
Phil Mickelson
2 of 5Bet: Finish in the top three
Why: Mickelson is currently fifth on the money list and also has a win under his belt in 2013.
However, the three-time Masters champion has also been inconsistent this season. While he won the Waste Management Phoenix Open, Lefty has also missed a cut and finished outside the top 20 four times.
Mickelson loves Augusta though. He finished third in the 2012 Masters and won the 2010 green jacket.
He's also picked up his play recently. He finished third in the WGC-Cadillac Championship a month ago, and finished 16th at the Shell Houston Open.
Betting on Mickelson to finish in the top three is a smart bet to make. He's currently at 10-to-1 odds to win the tournament.
Brandt Snedeker
3 of 5Bet: To win
Why: While Tiger Woods has snagged most of the headlines in 2013, Snedeker has quietly had a dominating season as well.
Snedeker is currently second on the money list and is starving for his first major championship. He has four top-three finishes in 2013 including a win at AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
In 2008, he finished tied for third in the Masters, his best finish at Augusta. In 2012, he finished third at the Open Championship.
The young golfer is currently a 20-to-1 favorite to win the Masters.
If Snedeker goes into the the tournament in top form, he has a real chance to take home the green jacket.
Keegan Bradley
4 of 5Bet: Finish in the top three
Why: The eighth-highest money winner on the tour this season, Keegan Bradley has been one of the most consistent golfers this year.
Bradley has five top-10 finishes, three top-five finishes and finished third at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
The best showing of his career was at last year's PGA Championship, where Bradley finished third.
That's the last major Bradley appeared in. If he can regain the form he had in the PGA Championship, he might just finish high on the leaderboard at Augusta.
Rickie Fowler
5 of 5Bet: Finish in the top three
Why: Fowler was once the world's top-ranked amateur golfer for 36 weeks.
In 2013, he has three top-10 finishes and a third-place finish at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
So could the Masters be the tournament that sees Fowler breakout onto the scene?
Fowler is currently at 40-to-1 odds to win the Masters. But a top-three finish is not out of the question for the young buck. Expect the Oklahoma State alum to surprise a lot of people at Augusta.
