Brock Lesnar: Supposed Exit Is Brilliant Move by WWE

Jesse ReedJun 7, 2018

There is no way Brock Lesnar is actually finished with the WWE, but you have to admit his supposed exit is a brilliant strategy to hype up his eventual return.

Paul Heyman came out to announce Lesnar's decision to quit the WWE on Raw because he claims the WWE owed him millions.

There is no chance of this actually happening, though—especially with the coincidence of the reemergence of Heyman after a five-year hiatus from the sport of pro wrestling.

The WWE is like a well-scripted soap opera. They do a fantastic job of crafting each and every bout and speech the wrestlers are involved in, and this one is no different than all the rest.

Lesnar is going to end up being a little-used but highly effective bad boy who everyone loves to hate. He already has a tremendous rivalry with Triple H, and now he is developing one with John Cena—one of the sport's true heroes.

It's clear from Lesnar's words—given through Heyman on the main stage of MNR—that he is being made into one of the true villains of the WWE:

"

I came back to bring legitimacy to WWE. That's exactly what I did. And how was I rewarded? With the same corporate BS and politics that led me to leave eight years ago. I don't regret what I did to John Cena. I embarrassed him.

Another guy I embarrassed was Triple H. He's always been jealous of me. Triple H lasted nearly one hour in a cell with the Undertaker, but he couldn't last one minute in a fight with me. Triple H tried to push his weight around because now he has an office job. I had an agreement with the company and he broke it, so I broke his arm.

I don't care about Triple H. I don't care about you people. And I don't care about the corporate suits at WWE because, I, Brock Lesnar, am never coming back. Because, I, Brock Lesnar, quit.

"

Right, like we're supposed to believe that.

It's almost a guarantee that Lesnar isn't going to be invited back into the UFC after his unceremonious defeat at the hands of Alistair Overeem in UFC 141. He didn't have anywhere near the kind of big-time MMA abilities he needed to last in that sport.

That leaves the WWE as his main avenue for success. He isn't going to leave his cash cow while it's still producing.

Besides, what better way to get fans to hate the man than to script him saying, "I don't care about you people"?

All this latest scandal amounts to is another brilliant move by the WWE. They have developed one of the best shows on television due to their ability to perfectly cast their program, and Lesnar's role as a villain continues to grow under their tutelage and guidance.

Don't fret. Lesnar's not going anywhere.
