Why Daniel Bryan Is Becoming the WWE's Biggest Heel
Daniel Bryan is one of the most technical wrestlers in the world and the WWE. For a majority of his career, he has been a fan favorite who can get the crowd behind him.
Look at his career in Japan and Ring of Honor, for example. He was arguably the most popular wrestler in the organizations, as people respected the work he put in for the fans.
Enter Daniel Bryan of the WWE. For most of the his time in the WWE, Bryan has remained a popular wrestler among fans. It's no surprise, as you can never get a bad match out of him, as well as the fact that he played the role of a face so well.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
But, more recently, Bryan has turned heel and has rapidly become the company's top heel. He has done numerous things to earn this role, which were a complete 180 as to how he acted before his turn to the dark side.
It all started after he won the World Heavyweight Championship. He slowly began his heel turn by doing small things like showing arrogance and excessive celebrations. These celebrations came even through disqualifications and count-outs, much to the dismay of fans and his opponents.
Even more than that, he scored the affection of A.J., who constantly told Bryan she loved him, but did not receive it in return.
He also began acting more cowardly, using count-outs and disqualifications to retain his title. He hid behind A.J. during matches, using her as a human shield to avoid getting hurt by other wrestlers like the Big Show (who kayfabe injured A.J.).
Enter WrestleMania and the embarrassment that came with it. After receiving his "pre-match kiss" from A.J., Bryan was floored by Sheamus with a Brogue Kick, ending their championship match in 18 seconds.
Bryan blamed his loss on A.J. and broke up with her. The mistreatment began and it has made him completely unlikable since. One of the biggest reasons he is a heel is because of his treatment of A.J.
Add to that his lectures on being a vegan. Nothing is more annoying than hearing lectures by a vegan on being a vegan. This has been a point of generating heat, which has turned more fans against him.
This brings me to my last point—his use of "yes!" Being an MMA fan, it reminds me of Diego Sanchez walking to the Octagon in the UFC. I'm not sure if that is where it came from, but there is a chance.
I don't get this "yes" fad, and I'm not sure too many other people do either. He constantly screams it, much to the annoyance of myself and others. He has made it a catchphrase, as he wears a T-shirt with the words on it.
He has even renamed the LeBell Lock to the Yes Lock (I still call it the LeBell Lock). This submission hold has lately been used after matches, whether he was a participant in the match or not.
These dastardly attacks using the LeBell Lock have been used following matches against Sheamus, Kofi Kingston and CM Punk. He is intentionally trying to injure these competitors, drawing heat in the process.
Bryan's heel turn will continue for a while, as the WWE sees how much heat he causes. This is unfortunate because I liked Bryan as a face. He now represents a coward, which he spent most of his career not being.
For all of these reasons listed, Bryan has become the WWE's biggest heel. He is a bigger heel than Chris Jericho, a bigger heel than Kane and a bigger heel than Lord Tensai. This has furthered his main-event push, but has fans turning on him.
