John Cena: Superstar's Match with John Laurinaitis Is Pointless
John Cena's opponent at Over the Limit will be John Laurinaitis, and I find that ridiculous. Fresh off an exciting match at Extreme Rules against Brock Lesnar, he is thrown into a conflict with Laurinaitis?
Perhaps this is being done in an effort to combat his reputation as a company man and goody-two-shoes. But they'd have better luck casting him in a WWE film as a psychopath.
It worked for his idol, Marky Mark.

Seriously, I don't see what purpose this is serving. If he is destined to feud with Lord Tensai, a match with Laurinaitis doesn't seem to be necessary to set this up.
Is the WWE attempting to keep Laurinaitis in our minds as someone we consider a viable in-ring performer?
That would be understandable, but it seems misplaced to be matching him against Cena—even if it is just precipitating a feud with Lord Tensai.
Cena is being yanked back and forth, and it seems to me this is a direct result of part-time wrestlers' impacts on the WWE.
Cena had to stay connected to The Rock, in some way for a year as things built up to their WrestleMania match. Then, the day after, Cena is pulled into another high profile feud with another part-timer with a big name.
Brock Lesnar attacked Cena on Raw the day after WrestleMania. Their entertaining bit led up to an equally entertaining Extreme Rules match this past Sunday in Chicago.
Now, as a result of either a work or real life backstage tantrum, it appears Lesnar will be out of sight for awhile. That leaves Cena in a match with John Laurinaitis.
That is pointless in my opinion, and nothing I'm looking forward too.
Where does Cena go from here? Most likely back to Brock whenever his sixth of 30-40 appearances is scheduled. This angle would have to produce some surprising results to change my opinion.
As a sucker for in-ring action, that is highly unlikely.
