Seattle Seahawks Preseason Schedule Brings Northwest Favorites Home
The NFL has announced the preseason schedule for the 2012 season. In doing so, they've done a major favor for Seattle football fans.
Two Seattle-area favorites are coming home.
The Seahawks begin preseason play the Weekend of August 12th by hosting the Tennessee Titans. This will bring Matt Hasselbeck back to play in front of the 12th Man, and will give University of Washington Husky fans an opportunity to watch their former quarterback again, likely in extended action.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
There are some rumblings that Jake Locker could oust Matt Hasselbeck from starting duty this year, but that isn't likely to have happened prior to the first preseason game. Regardless, most Seahawks fans will enjoy seeing two of their favorites play in a game that doesn't have any real meaning beyond entertainment value and player evaluation.
Yes, I do recognize the entertainment value of preseason football is also limited. 60,000 fans are reminded of that when paying full value for those games in our season ticket packages.
Seattle will be on the road the next two weeks, taking on former AFC West division rivals. They will have an opportunity to show Peyton Manning what he missed out on by not joining the Seahawks the weekend of August 19th.
The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Seahawks the following week.
This is the game when starters figure to see the most action, and the Chiefs should provide a solid effort for the Seahawks. They are a team that figures to be closer to their 2010 version than the 2011 squad that struggled at times.
The final game of the preseason will be at CenturyLink Field. The Seahawks will again finish preseason against the Oakland Raiders. This will give Carson Palmer an opportunity to play in front of his former coach, but likely in limited action.
Actual game days will be released shortly, followed by the regular season schedule. For now, those that need to make travel plans can at least know what weekend to block out.
None of the Seahawks preseason games are scheduled for a national TV audience.
