Arsenal News: Eduardo, Gary Lewin, and More
Greetings, Gooners. I'm back in office after a while away, and it's every bit as bad as I remember. There were no midweek matches, which makes for a well rested week for the players. The next game is against Aston Villa, when they come 'round the Grove on Saturday.
There's not a lot about the game going about. However, there is more good news on the Eduardo front, as the Croatian was out of hospital yesterday. The fans are going to treat Saturday's Villa game as a tribute to Eduardo, which is really a nice touch. If you are going please give Dudu my, indeed our, very best!

As an article about how Gary Lewin "saved" Eduardo's career states, sometimes the back end men don't receive the recognition and reward they deserve. Good on you, Gary!
If there is anything good to say about this horrific injury, it would have to be the resulting unification and galvanizing of the team. The squad has been given a singularity of purpose, read as: WINNING THE PREMIERSHIP.
There is also a nice piece on the question of that which acts as a general irritant—why the media hate Arsenal FC so much.
Another story doing the rounds today is the one about Gallas getting a ticking off from the rest of the Arsenal players for his reaction in the Birmingham game. Supposedly Gallas continued with this in to the dressing room and it took Ade, The Flamster, and Gilberto to calm him down.
I, like those who write in many other Arsenal Blogs, had reacted quite strongly to the way Gallas acted close to the end of the match with Birmingham. Maybe it was just a touch over the top, and Wenger will treat this as a one-off. It really was an emotional game, but he should be made of sterner stuff and lead us to the premiership title.
We'll have to leave it right there for today; this piece on Usmanov will round it off. He says he has no intention of raising his stake above the 25 percent mark. Anything above that would allow him veto power over any of the club decisions—that can be nothing but in the club's best interests.
So long!
Update (more like forgetful me): arseblog turned 6 yesterday, and once again I salute him. Truly an inspiration and always spot on!
