Kurt Busch's Girlfriend Driven to Help and Much More Than a Pretty Face
Kurt Busch made his relationship to Patricia Driscoll known publicly at the Toyota/SaveMart 350 in June of last year when the two were together during prerace activities. He later kissed her as he stood victorious in the Winner's Circle.
Busch and Driscoll remain together still and he legally separated from his wife Eva Busch that June. Driscoll, a petite, attractive blond, is never far from the driver, who is now the pilot of the No. 51 for Phoenix Racing, at NASCAR events.
What many fans of NASCAR may not realize is that Driscoll, 34, is a pretty high horsepower woman in her own right.
The Texas-born business woman holds an executive position with Frontline Defense Systems, LLC. that deals with advanced technologies used in the intelligence community.
Driscoll is no stranger to those within the highest level of the United States government, including the Department of Defense.
She has been recognized for her achievements by many, including a former president of the United States.
Driscoll is much more visible to the public as president and executive director of the Armed Forces Foundation, where she has served since 2003.
The AFF is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving members of the Armed Forces who find themselves in a position of need.
Driscoll is very active with raising funds for the organization. She has been seen at Barrett-Jackson automobile auctions, where the well-spoken woman talks of the services provided by AFF.
Last September in Las Vegas, a custom 1964 Ford Fairlane was auctioned off for $700,000 to benefit her cause. The car reappeared at the Scottsdale auction this year and was sold for $1 million that went to the Armed Forces Foundation.
Driscoll has co-authored a book that deals with service members affected by post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain Injury. She works closely with troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan and the hardships they face.
The petite dynamo works with NASCAR, bringing troops to the tracks and other programs that benefit the AFF.
Busch may receive more than his share of criticism for his unbridled behavior, but Driscoll has stood by her man.
The driver of the Phoenix Racing No. 51 is used to wheeling horsepower, and it appears his girlfriend is a high-horsepower personality driven to win for her cause.
