Arsenal Update: More AC Milan Fallout
Hey what do you know it's Friday again—and you're right, theres more Premier League action for us over the weekend, specifically Birmingham, away.
But there's not much news about this impending fixture. All the talk seems to be about the AC Milan tie in the Champions League this past Wednesday.
While the response shown by the boys in the CL fixture was heartening and positive indeed, one of the major setbacks was the news that we could be without the services of Kolo Toure owing to injury for up to four weeks.
Senderos put on a good show, and is beginning to regain some form which saw us through to the Champions league final, but when it comes down to it, I'm sure most would pick the Ivorian over the defender known as the "Swiss Tony". Kolo is slated to be back in two weeks and may even play in the second leg of the CL. Thats really good news!
Cescy talks about the confidence the team has gained after the midweek lash against Milan, saying-
"Definitely we can go there and do it," "We are a positive side, we are young but, having seen what we have seen tonight, we can cope with their pace, their experience and we can create chances."
The Flamster has similar views, all here. When confronted with the history of English clubs at the San Siro and particularly the 5-1 defeat we handed AC Milan's cross-town rivals Inter, Cescy said-
"I watched that on TV and I remember it," said Fabregas. "But it was five years ago. Things will be different. Milan is Milan. "
"But we all want to be involved in the Final again and we will fight for it."
Wenger speaks about a certain RVP who we have to keep reminding ourselves is a part of the Arsenal set up. The boss speaks about not " fastracking" the Dutch forwards recovery. Do I even have to echo how important I think RVPs return is? Didn't think so! RVP maybe, just maybe be back in the team in time to play Milan in two weeks time, fingers firmly crossed now!
In other news Adebayor speaks about his miss in injury time and Jens is upto what Jens usually does.
Wenger speaks about us maybe missing Adebayor and Alex Hleb for the Birmingham game . Ade has a stiff neck and Alex "hurt his foot". Lets hope their losses if they do occur do not alter the outcome of the result for us—three points please , and nothing less.

This especially after we dropped two points the last time we played Birmingham. The boys will definitely be out to put paid for past shortcomings.
Also, somehow I have a feeling that Man United may just drop points this weekend. That's because the EPL fixture is so close (Saturday) to the CL fixture this past Wednesday.
Well don't we play on Saturday too, I hear you ask? Well I think we didn't have to travel back and forth to Lyon to play the game, their recovery time will definitely be limited.
Also, they do play Kevin Keegan's Newcastle at St James' Park with a desperate point to prove. All this might just see the Manky Shite drop points at the home of the Geordies. Lets just see.
Those who are keeping a look out on the 39th game of the EPL can catch the latest update on the issue as the FA called the idea "unsustainable", as I exult in sheer relief!
Im off then to hear this weeks Arsecast, have a good weekend Arseurs!
Update -The Birmingham game is on tomorrow, it's at 12.45 UK time and 6.15 India time, its on ESPN in Asia.
