Tom Brady Injury: Patriots Star Returns to Practice

Adam WellsJun 7, 2018

One day after causing mass panic in the Boston area, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady returned to practice in preparation for Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Baltimore Ravens.

According to the Associated Press, he stretched and ran some drills with the team during the 15 minutes that the media was allowed to watch.

The fact that Brady sat out practice on Wednesday should not have been met with as much hysteria as it was, because the odds of him missing the game with the Ravens were virtually none. He was given a day off just to ease the burden on his injured left shoulder.

Considering how well he played against the Denver Broncos last Saturday, you would never know that he had anything wrong with him. He tied an NFL playoff record with six touchdown passes.

Bill Belichick knows what he is doing with Brady and the rest of this team in preparation for the AFC Championship Game. He understands what his players need to be at the top of their game, and Brady doesn't need a lot of practice time.

As long as Brady is studying video and stays healthy prior to kick-off, the Patriots are going to be fine. The Ravens could find this as an opportunity they can exploit if they are given the chance.

Defenses love to hear about a quarterback who is dealing with an injury, because it gives them a bullseye to attack if they are given the chance to hit him.

Ray Lewis, Haloti Ngata and Terrell Suggs would relish the opportunity to knock Brady's left shoulder around.

The bottom line is Brady is back, and will be ready to go when the Patriots and Ravens take the field on Sunday afternoon.
