Broncos vs. Patriots: Josh McDaniels' Tebow Knowledge Won't Give Pats Advantage
Yes, Josh McDaniels drafted Tim Tebow. Yes, he was the head coach from 2009-2010, but the New England Patriots hiring him doesn't give them any advantage over the Denver Broncos. The backlash over the McDaniels hiring is much ado about nothing.
First, Tim Tebow and the Broncos are a different team than they were when McDaniels was there. Some of the personnel is the same, but the team is different. If they were the same, they would've missed the playoffs the way they did each year McDaniels was in charge.
The Patriots as a franchise aren't silly enough to believe McDaniels would be able to give them any advantage in this game. Honesty, why would they even feel as though they needed an edge? They handily defeated the Broncos 41-23 just three weeks ago. How much could have changed in that short span of time?

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
If anything, it is just a mind game being played by Bill Belichick, which even seems far-fetched for "Hoodie."
It could possibly be a favor for a friend, with a limited chance of upside for the Patriots, with zero risk.
Either way, it will not be a factor. It is just fodder for people like me to write about as we anticipate the must-see playoff game of the weekend.
This game will come down to limiting turnovers on both sides, offensive balance from Denver and run defense from the Patriots, not a twice-dismissed head coach and coordinator brought in six days before the game.
