NFL Rumors: Peyton Manning Would Bring New York Jets a Super Bowl
According to this New York Daily News article, several players on the New York Jets are tired of Mark Sanchez. They think he's entitled, lazy and just plain bad at football.
One unidentified player even went as far as to criticize Sanchez's captaincy in the article, saying:
""They gave him the captain tag. He’s not a captain. He should have never been a captain.”

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It doesn't appear that the relationship between the Jets players and Sanchez can be repaired at this point, so the team needs to start pursuing other options at quarterback.
One option that seems to be pretty popular in the New York locker room is to trade for Peyton Manning.
The 36-year-old Indianapolis Colts quarterback sat out for the entire 2011 season after undergoing a surgery on his neck.
He should be fine to play next season, but the Colts have the No. 1 overall pick and might choose to move on from the Manning era.
If the Colts draft Stanford QB Andrew Luck, look for Manning to either ask for a trade or ask to be released. And, if he's released, look for the Jets to make a move to get him.
After all, with a defense like the Jets have, this team is only a quarterback away from getting to the Super Bowl.
Giving Manning players like Santonio Holmes and Dustin Keller to throw to would lead to a dramatic increase in offensive productivity for the Jets.
Sanchez's teammates are accurate about one thing in their criticism: he's not progressing as fast as he needs to. If the Jets are going to be successful any time soon, they need to move on from Sanchez.
Sanchez is a game manager; he's never going to be a player on the level of Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees or even Eli Manning. And, for a game manager, Sanchez makes too many mistakes to be successful.
Getting Manning would put an end to all the stupid interceptions, bad throws and costly fumbles. This New York team is built to win now, not in five years. Manning gives them a much better chance to win in the next three years.
The Jets have made it to two AFC Championship games in the past three years with Sanchez at quarterback. With Manning at quarterback, this team is good enough to actually win an AFC Championship and then, a Super Bowl trophy.
In April, expect Jets fans to erupt with applause if NFL commissioner Roger Goodell walks onto the stage and says, "With the first pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts select Andrew Luck."
That would mean the Jets are one step closer to getting Peyton Manning and therefore one step closer to winning their first Super Bowl since the days of Joe Namath.
