It may not be the last time Edwards joins Jefferson:
This comes after Jefferson and Edwards shared a sneak peek last month and were dressed in each other's jerseys, just like Moss and Garnett were for a 2000 issue of Sports Illustrated Kids.
Garnett and Moss are each Hall of Famers who started their legendary careers in Minnesota.
The Timberwolves selected the former with the No. 5 pick in the 1995 NBA draft, and he played his first 12 seasons for the franchise. He also finished his career in Minnesota during the 2015-16 season.
While Garnett won the only championship of his career with the Boston Celtics, he made 10 All-Star Games and won the 2003-04 MVP during his time with the Timberwolves. His name is all over the franchise leaderboard as the all-time leader in points, assists, rebounds, steals, blocks, games, minutes, field goals, triple-doubles and more.
As for Moss, the Vikings selected him with a first-round pick in 1998. He played his first seven seasons with the team and was a five-time Pro Bowler, three-time First-Team All-Pro selection and the Offensive Rookie of the Year during that span.
Like Garnett, he was never able to bring a championship to Minnesota but still became a franchise icon who is second in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns in Vikings history.
Jefferson and Edwards are chasing championship glory as well and could be well-positioned to bring it to Minnesota in the near future.
Edwards led the Timberwolves to the Western Conference Finals last season and is just 23 years old. He has already drawn plenty of Michael Jordan comparisons at this point of his career and only figures to improve as he becomes more experienced.
And Jefferson's Vikings are 5-0 this season.
He just signed a four-year contract extension that made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history this past offseason, so he figures to be the face of the Vikings for the foreseeable future.
