The NFL draft is all about the future.
Forgive us, then, for peering farther ahead than most and mapping out a 2025 mock draft even before the 2024 talent grab is finished.
After laying out a mock first round—leaning on the Super Bowl odds from DraftKings Sportsbook to help set the selection order—we'll take a closer look at two of the top quarterback prospects on the board.

Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
2 of 3
If a quarterback-needy club ends up drafting No. 1, Shedeur Sanders has a decent chance of going first overall.
Like his father, Pro Football Hall of Famer and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, Shedeur is electric on the gridiron. He is overloaded with arm talent and can make throws both from the pocket and on the move.
After following his dad from Jackson State to Colorado, Sanders made an immediate and immense impact for the Buffaloes. He threw for 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns with only three interceptions in 11 games.
His offensive line was problematically leaky, and his receivers weren't always sure-handed, and he still looked like a star. It's easy to let your imagination run wild thinking what he could do when surrounded by NFL talent.
Carson Beck, QB, Georgia
3 of 3
There might be other signal-callers with higher ceilings in this class (Jalen Milroe and Quinn Ewers come to mind), but Carson Beck offers one of the best blends of safety and potential.
His first season as the Bulldogs' starter was just about flawless. He piloted the team to 13 victories—the last one, a 60-point thrashing of Florida State in the Orange Bowl—while completing 72.4 percent of his passes and compiling 24 touchdown passes against six interceptions.
His 3,941 passing yards were the second-most in program history. His four rushing touchdowns were third-most on the team. His 85.2 QBR was seventh-best in the country, per ESPN.
He reads the field well, processes quickly and gets his throws out on time and on target. If he shows better touch on his deep ball, he could make a real push to be the first quarterback taken next spring.
