NFL Rumors: Bills' Gabe Davis, Jaguars Agree to 3-Year Contract After Mac Jones Trade
The Jacksonville Jaguars are solidifying the receiving core for quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the Jaguars had signed free agent wide receiver Gabe Davis to a three-year contract. This comes one day after the franchise acquired former first-round pick Mac Jones from the New England Patriots to serve as Lawrence's backup.

According to The Athletic's Dianna Russini, Davis' deal is worth $39 million, though incentives could push the deal up to $50 million.
Davis spent the first four seasons of his career with the Buffalo Bills. He had 163 catches, 2,730 receiving yards and 27 touchdowns during his time with the Bills.
Davis had 45 receptions for 746 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023 and served as an excellent secondary option for Bills quarterback Josh Allen behind Stefon Diggs. He could take on a similar role with Jacksonville and slot in behind Calvin Ridley on the team's receiving corps.
Jacksonville started the 2023 season 8-3 and looked like a true contender in the AFC. These hopes were dashed when it slumped to a 1-5 end to the season that saw its playoff hopes evaporate.
Adding Davis could help the Jaguars offense take that next step and fly high with the other units in the conference.
