NFL Week 8 Odds: Building the Best Parlays from Early Spreads, Lines and Over/Unders
Week 7 was a wild one, with teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots pulling off upsets. Now, it's time to reset and prepare for another week, which will kick off with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills on Thursday night.
The Bills are fairly large favorites, considering they've dropped two of their last three. They will, however, have home-field advantage against a Buccaneers team that has lost two in a row.
Below, we'll examine the Buccaneers-Bills matchup and several other games to build three distinct parlays for Week 8.

Three-Game Parlay
1 of 3
Bills -7 Versus Buccaneers
Jets -2.5 at Giants
Eagles -6.5 at Commanders
The Bills haven't been playing great football in recent weeks. The defense is riddled with injuries, and the offense has gotten off to slow starts in each of the past three games.
"Just overall, we've got to find the answers there," head coach Sean McDermott said of the offense, per The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia.
However, Buffalo can rebound against Tampa, which is allowing opponents to convert a league-high 50 percent of their third downs. And while the Bucs offense has been serviceable behind quarterback Baker Mayfield, it hasn't been great. Buffalo's injuries aren't going away, but there's still enough defensive talent for the Bills to pull away if their offense does start quickly.
The New York Giants are coming off a much-needed win, but there's some question about who will start at quarterback. Tyrod Taylor has looked like a better option than Daniel Jones, but if Jones (neck) is cleared, he'll probably get the start here.
The Giants outlasted the Washington Commanders while scoring just 14 points. They'll have a much harder time against a New York Jets team with a superior defense and coming off the bye.
The Jets are favored, but not by a lot. Barring a disaster of a game by Zach Wilson, Gang Green should cover.
The Philadelphia Eagles should also cover against the Commanders. The first meeting between these two was extremely close, but Philadelphia may have found the offensive rhythm it's been searching for against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night.
Sam Howell was sacked six times and Washington tallied a mere seven points against the Giants. Things could be just as lopsided against Philadelphia.
Single-Game Parlay
2 of 3
Eagles -6.5 at Commanders
Eagles -278 (bet $278 to win $100) to Win
Eagles and Commanders Over 43.5 Points
The Eagles should fare better than they did the first time they faced the Commanders this season, a game that saw Philly win by a field goal in overtime.
Despite a down game against the Jets in Week 6—in which quarterback Jalen Hurts tossed three interceptions—the Eagles have mostly been trending upward since their Week 4 win over Washington.
The Commanders have largely gone in the opposite direction, with a blowout loss to the Chicago Bears and Sunday's loss to the Giants sandwiched around a win over the inconsistent Atlanta Falcons.
The biggest issue for Washington has been poor offensive line play. Howell has now been sacked 40 times, and it's hard to sustain drives when the quarterback is constantly under pressure.
Expect the Eagles to win and win by at least a touchdown. Rounding out this parlay is the over. 44 Points is a number the Eagles might be able to reach by themselves, if they can build on Sunday's performance against Miami.
The Commanders rank 29th in points allowed, and Round 1 of this series saw a total of 65 points scored. There may not be as much back-and-forth in Round 2, but the over once again feels likely.
Over/Under Parlay
3 of 3
Eagles and Commanders Over 43.5 Points
Jaguars and Steelers Over 42 Points
Browns and Seahawks Under 40 Points
Fans should expect the Eagles and Commanders to put a fair number of points on the board this weekend. They should expect the same from the Jacksonville Jaguars and Pittsburgh Steelers.
While the Steelers defense looks like a playoff-caliber unit, it has continued to struggle against the run. Jacksonville can exploit that with running back Travis Etienne Jr. and with the scrambling of Trevor Lawrence.
Jacksonville's defense has struggled against the pass, which could help the Steelers open things up with Kenny Pickett, George Pickens and the passing game. Matt Canada's offense continues to lack creativity, but the Steelers just dropped 24 points on the road against the Los Angeles Rams.
This is a low line, and one that should easily be reached if the Jaguars and Steelers game plan accordingly.
The Cleveland Browns defense showed that it's not impenetrable against the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts racked up more than 450 yards and 38 points on Sunday, which makes a 40-point line in Seattle feel extremely low.
Yet, the Browns defense may return to form, and the Seattle Seahawks have started to turn things around defensively. Each of Seattle's past three games have yielded 30 or fewer points, while three of Cleveland's last four have failed to reach 40.
