That is a direct quote from Ed Hochuli.  How can we forget this guy and all his blown calls.

Anyways back to the point. During World War II, people went to movies and plays to use them as an "escape" from the harsh realities where their husbands are at war.  In the refs opinion and especially Ed Hochuli, I guess he thinks due to the tragedies of Hurricane Katrina, they should be put on national stage into the Superbowl to let the people of New Orleans "escape" their harsh realities.

Well, usually when referees blow the calls, sports fans are raging and want to put the referees on a stick and burn them, but in this case, I think I would let it slide.
