I completely agree re tanking as a panacea. Said so during season. However, I do think a #8 pick and a #6 pick in great drafts should produce better than solid players and what we saw in summer justifies that belief. Demin and Brown should do well.

@NetsDaily I kind of buried my point. Basically, tanking is a lower probability strategy than most fans understand. The Nets took that strategy and then fans just say it’s bad luck. It leads to lower accountability from the FO.

So much more to this … like Calipari chickened out in face of threats that Kobe would play in Italy rather than NES Jersey and Kobe later told Pooch he would’ve played for Nets, that the threat was an empty one.

@BillyReinhardt @SamQuinnCBS Too many people think the draft lottery has been bad luck for the Nets but they actually got the highest probability pick in ‘25 and ‘26 based on their record. Too many fans think it was bad luck when it was actually just the most likely outcome.
