Falcons vs. Saints: 5 Key Halftime Stats for New Orleans
Looks like we are in for a good old fashion shootout in the Superdome. Here are the stats that tell the story.
65: Yards Drew Brees needs to Set NFL's Passing Yards Record
In a year dominated by Aaron Rodgers talk, Brees’ pursuit of Dan Marino’s legendary mark hasn’t got the national coverage many would have expected. Perhaps breaking one of the NFL’s oldest passing records on Monday Night Football will get Drew some love.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
84: Yards Rushing for the Saints
On their first offensive possession the Saints’ offense proved Drew Brees and Jimmy Graham aren’t their only options. Pierre Thomas, Chris Ivory and offensive line imposed their will on the Falcons’ front four and pounded the ball down the field for a score. Drew Brees is really good, but if the Saints are going to be able to win at Lambeau in January they are going to have to be able to run the ball.
188: Yards for Falcons Offense
The Saints’ D has been improving rapidly since Jonathan Vilma returned from injury. However, coming into this game they ranked 25th in the NFL in total defense allowing opponents to rack up 366.1 ypg. So far, the Falcons are well on their way to 350 yards. If the Saints are going to lock up the division tonight they will need to lock it down in the second half.
42: Consecutive games Drew Brees has thrown a touchdown pass.
It isn’t exactly Marino’s passing record, but unbelievably impressive none-the-less.
1: Red Zone Turnovers for the Saints
Jimmy Graham’s drop in the back of the end zone took points of the board for the Saints. In a barnburner like this the Saints can ill afford to miss red zone opportunities. When Drew Brees hits his receivers in the facemask they have to haul it in.
