Monta Ellis: Ex-Warriors Employee to Reveal Pictures of Sexual Harassment

Ryan RudnanskyDec 20, 2011

Last offseason, Golden State Warriors guard Monta Ellis made headlines when he questioned whether he could work with Stephen Curry in the backcourt.

But this offseason, there's a whole different kind of drama unfolding.

According to Marcus Thompson of The Contra Costa Times, a former Warriors employee is suing the Warriors and Ellis for sexual harassment.

The Law Offices of Burton F. Boltuch sent an email to Thompson saying their unnamed client would file the lawsuit Wednesday morning at the Superior Court of Alameda County in Oakland, and that a press conference would be held.

According to Burton F. Boltuch, Ellis sexually harassed his client from November 2010 to January 2011, and the plaintiff alleges to have photographic evidence of the harassment, allegedly sent from Ellis' phone.

The photo will be revealed, as well as the identity of the accuser, at the press conference on Wednesday.

Said Boltuch, via the Contra Costa Times:

"

“You will be shocked when you see it. It’s pretty disgusting and graphic.”

"
"

The Warriors are being accused of covering for Ellis, with Boltuch claiming the plaintiff was let go because the team "wanted to cover it up."

Boltuch also claims the Warriors have refused to resolve the matter previously.

A Warriors spokesman said neither the team nor Ellis had a comment and they had not received the lawsuit, Yahoo! Sports reported.

"

This is the last thing the Warriors need right now.

They've been to the playoffs once in the last 17 seasons, and while they added defensive post presence Kwame Brown, it's going to be hard for them to make the playoffs this season, especially if something goes down with Ellis.

Ellis has proven to be one of the league's most dynamic scorers since being drafted in the second round of the 2005 NBA draft. Last season, he averaged 24.1 points, 5.6 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.1 steals while shooting 45 percent from the floor and averaging 1.7 three-pointers per game.

Some, including Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant, came out and said he should have been an All-Star last season.

It would be hard for the Warriors to cope without Ellis on the court.
