Week 15 Fantasy Rankings: Every QB Ranked with Analysis on the Top 5 Plays

Figuring out who the best quarterback plays are from week to week is a little easier than doing so for running backs or wide receivers, but by no means is it simple. With some of the league's top players injured and a few playoff implications to consider, Week 15 is certainly no walk in the park.

That's why those of us in the fantasy industry put together these lists—to give the reader a gauge of what to expect from their players on any given Sunday.

With that, here are the weekend's top 32 quarterbacks along with some detailed analysis on the five best plays for the week.

THE TOP FIVE

5. Tony Romo (@ TB—Saturday Night)

Dallas should be able to handle the Buccaneers this Saturday night, but they’ll need Romo and his receiving corps to get involved to do it.

Felix Jones has a ton of ability and can break off long runs with the best of them, but one thing he is NOT is a work-horse back.

Felix should be able to carve up Tampa’s atrocious rush D, but the Cowboys would serve themselves well by monitoring the workload of their lone remaining stud RB and let Tony Romo win this game through the air.

The Bucs happen to be really bad at defending the pass as well, so with Miles Austin, Dez Bryant, Laurent Robinson and Jason Witten all available this week, there is no reason why Romo won’t throw for around 300 yards and two or three  TDs.

4. Matthew Stafford (@ Oak)

The Raiders can pretty much be taken care of by rushing the ball all day long, but the Lions simply don’t have the RBs to do the job.

Even if Kevin Smith makes it back for the game this weekend, he’ll likely be playing at less than 100 percent and need to be eased back into the offense a bit. No matter, though, as Oakland is close to as bad of a defense against the pass as they are against the run.

Stafford and his multi-faceted receiving crew should be able to make mincemeat of Oakland’s secondary to the tune of 300-plus yards and at least a couple of TDs.

The only problem I can foresee Staff encountering is if the Lions go up by a ton of points too early, thus leading to a Keiland Williams/Maurice Morris ground-and-pound show for the rest of the game.

3. Aaron Rodgers (@ KC)

Mr. Rodgers has occupied the two-slot in my rankings a couple of times this season, but never as far down as the three.

Most people would assume that the injury to Greg Jennings is the main, if not sole reason for his fall, but it’s actually not.

The Chiefs defense can play really well at times and have one of the better lockdown cornerbacks in the league in Brandon Flowers.

If Kansas City decides to shadow Jordy Nelson with Flowers, I simply don’t have enough faith in James Jones, Donald Driver, Randall Cobb and Jermichael Finley to put Rodge up over the next two QBs.

That said, this is Aaron Rodgers we’re talking about, so I really can’t rank him any lower than this either…

2. Tom Brady (@ Den)

The Stetson Man has been absolutely awesome in his seven road games this season averaging three TDs (no less than two TDs in any of them), over 339 yards and 26.2 fantasy points per contest.

Seriously now—that’s just downright disgusting!

Other than this being their last game away from home, this is also the time of year when both Coach Bill Belichick and Brady like to turn on the jets to make sure everything is rolling just right heading into the playoffs, so I don’t expect them to slow down regardless of the score.

With the Broncos defense allowing 23.2 points per game along with the sixth most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season, feel free to count on Mr. Gisele Bundchen to lead you to a fantasy victory this weekend.

1. Drew Brees (@ Min)

Drew Brees has been on absolute FIRE this past month throwing for 322-plus yards in four straight games along with two or more touchdowns and zero interceptions in each contest.

It was also impressive to see him able to put up two of those games on the road considering Drew normally plays better indoors back in New Orleans.

This week, Cool Brees will travel up north to Minnesota to take on the 2-11 Vikings, but since they also play in a dome, the Saints QB should have no problem living up to his latest streak, especially with the Vikings owning a pretty good rush D and a pass D that has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing QBs this season.

Oh and by the way, Brees needs just six more TD passes in the last three games to tie Joe Montana for the 10th-most in NFL history!

Hmmm, I wonder if he knows that or not...
