Dallas Cowboys vs. Arizona Cardinals: 5 Halftime Adjustments Cowboys Must Make
At 7-4, the Dallas Cowboys find themselves in first place in the NFC East. With the New York Giants playing an almost impossible game to win against the Green Bay Packers this week, the Cowboys have a chance to create more space between them and the G-Men this week.
The Cardinals have had their fair share of problems this season and logic would dictate the Cowboys should win this game. But after a close win against the Miami Dolphins on Thanksgiving, Dallas once again proved that nothing is certain in the NFL.
After a bad first half against Arizona, here are five adjustments Dallas must make to win this game.

Colts Release Kenny Moore

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
1. Where's Tony Romo?
The passing attack has been the bread and butter of the Cowboys this season, but that hasn't been the case in this game against the Cardinals. Tony Romo has been nowhere to be found in the first half, throwing inaccurate passes. That can't continue in the second half.
If it does, the Cards can play the run heavy and force Dallas to go with what hasn't been working.
2. Get the rushing attack going.
Much like their passing attack, the Cowboys haven't been able to establish their running game as well. With a tiring Cardinals defense as a result of their offensive ineptitude, Dallas should look to run the ball more in the second half against their fatigued opponents. They might find more success.
3. Keep the pressure on Kolb.
The Cardinals aren't exactly known for their offensive line, so it's important that the Cowboys blitz up the middle more in this game, keeping a ton of pressure on Kevin Kolb. They've done a great job of that so far in this one. It'll be impossible for Kolb to do any damage if he doesn't have enough time to throw and Dallas can eradicate the Cards' passing attack and maybe pick up some points with a turnover or two.
4. Don't hand the Cardinals good field position.
It's become abundantly clear that Arizona can't score points on the Cowboys defense. That being said, the Cowboys can't go kicking anymore 53-yard field goals or doing anything else dumb that will give the Cards good field position. The only reason Arizona has three points in the first half is because of that missed field goal.
5. Take a shot down field!
It's been a lot of short passes for Romo and the Cowboys, but that needs to change. It hasn't worked so far, but maybe it's time that Dallas take a shot deep. It'll stretch the field for Dallas, maybe opening up more options for Romo and the Cowboys' offense.
