DeSean Jackson Should Be Cut for Disgracing Eagles, NFL and Himself
DeSean Jackson's play needs to be rewarded with a trip to the waiver wire and not a new contract. Jackson has been pouting his way through a halfhearted season—a season he began with an 11-day holdout.
His lack of effort and interest is a complete disgrace, it is unacceptable and every minute the Philadelphia Eagles allow him to be a member of that team with that attitude is a minute they are being pulled further into the cancerous black hole that has become DeSean Jackson.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Jackson has had several instances this season where he has left himself open to being questioned about his effort going over the middle. The receiver has gotten a case of the alligator arms going over the middle as defenders have rushed towards him.
Instances like the one in this video have become commonplace this year.
That is not all though. Jackson is not alone in this. You can find footage of other receivers pulling up short in the face of big hits. However, there is more to the story.
For instance, Jackson was suspended for a Week 10 game after missing a team meeting because he said he "overslept."
The Tipping Point
Jackson's lack of heart seemed to reach a new level against the Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. He was giving up on routes and sidestepped a block that could have freed LeSean McCoy.
He was then seen moping on the sideline and completely ignoring QB Vince Young, and then followed up is despicable performance by getting upset with the media while refusing to answer questions that his actions dictated he would receiver.
What Eagles Are Saying
The day after the debacle, Andy Reid came out and defended his receiver. Here is what Reid had to say to the press (quoted from Philly.com):
"I am telling you, that kid was all in last night and wanted to win that game as much as anybody.
"
Conclusion
The Eagles need to rid themselves of Jackson. They can't have players that are still playing hard be contaminated by a player that is not giving it his all. There is no room on a team for a player that does not want to be there.
At the start of the season, Jackson had every right to want a new deal. He had earned it. However, the second he decided to come back to the team, he was committing to that team.
If Jackson wanted to continue to make a statement then he should have continued his holdout.
For their part, the Eagles should have traded him, or paid him.
It didn't take advanced trigonometry to deduce that having an unhappy player on the field could result in a potential problem.
It is a disgusting situation. It is a disgrace to sport, and to the fans of the NFL. But at least DeSean has given an us an easy target to mock.
